"We got lots of estimates to install an irrigation system and landscape lighting. When I met with Joe he was not interested in selling me equipment but spent the time going over what we actually needed....especially for landscape lighting. His approach was great, he came up with a solution for our watering needs and a simple version for the landscape lighting since we weren't sure how much light we wanted.....Once we see it, if we want more highlighting it could easily be added.....which we did on 2 other occasions. His workers too great care of my property and when they had a question about location of sprinkler head they came and discussed it with me before moving forward. One of the best contractor experiences we have had. Almost forgot...we have a collection area where all the underground pipes disperse water from our gutters. That was always full of water when Joe mentioned that the pip wasn't done correctly....since he had the equipment and the machinery already on the property he took care of that for me. Even with this wet spring we have not seen any signs of water from the collection area overflowing. I've already referred them to many neighbors since everyone loves the landscape lighting."

"Most of their work is excellent, but there are problems, and they are overpriced, to the extent of price-gouging. They installed a sprinkler system at our home 10 years ago, and for the most part it went well, but they wired the system in to the light fixture in the garage, which of course meant that when we turned the garage light off, the system shut down. They came out and fixed the problem, but tried to charge us extra for it (a lot!), even though it was their own dumb error. We have had an annual service contract with them since then ($495 to turn it on in the spring and shut down in the fall). When the controller failed a few years ago, we received a very hefty bill ($400.00) for replacing it. The last straw came when I attempted to have the rain sensor replaced last August. The sensor failed years ago, and the service man kept saying that it would be replaced under warranty, but he never did; he finally said that the front office kept deleting the repair order. Finally the front office said they would replace it, and it would cost $230. I bought the identical rain sensor online for $61, put it in myself in 5 minutes, and it works perfectly now. I have now contracted with a different company (one that got all A's on Angie's List) to do start-up and shut-down at less than half of Sharkey's price."

Since he was so professional, we asked for estimate to replace broken section of our system. He gave reasonable estimate, did the work quickly. What I respect from them, is that although we have the contract and they know what it is what we want done. they will still call and say they are coming which is the opportunity to say you do not want it. "<p>We didn't have our sprinkler system turned off before the winter.  We called Evergreen because of the great reviews I read online.  We knew there was at least one issue, but didn't know if pipes were burst.  Chris was able to come out the next day to look at the problem then scheduled an appointment for three days later to fix the problem.  He was very considerate when entering our home.  He explained all work that was being completed.</p> <p>I emailed him the day after he fixed the issue because there was a problem with the fix.  He responded to the email and followed up with a phone call.  He came out the next day and fixed the new issue.</p> <p>During the interactions I explained the issues we had with our previous provider.  He assured us we wouldn't have those issues by letting me know we would be added to his list of automatic calls to have the system closed  and opened annually.</p> <br />"
