"I've been planning and dreaming of my new house and particularly my new kitchen, for two years. I shopped various cabinet companies, but when I went to Phill's Custom Cabinets in Owensboro, KY, I knew I found a company that would be perfect in helping me fulfill my wishes. Brenda was so great to work with, offering suggestions and solutions. I had some unique sizing constraints and some ideas different than most traditional kitchens. I did not want a sink in my island, but did want a wood top - table quality. It made for spacing of appliances and cabinets a bit tricky, but Phill's was up to the challenge. Brenda worked all the cabinets into a beautiful space with two arches, one over the stove and one over the sink. The wood top is gorgeous and the granite is stunning. <br /> Everyone at Phill's took their time with me and let me bring in magazine after magazine photo, as well as others and helped me put everything together. <br /> Phill's made a wall of and quot;cubbiesand quot;, as I did not want traditional book shelves. "The kitchen custom cabinet door is indistinguishable from the originals. <br /> The advice on color and style made this an easy process for someone who is 'disabled' in interior design. Other places had overwhelmed me with too many options, and too little guidance on what would be a good choice. At Lensing, the consultant took the samples of cabinet, flooring and counter tops and made an assessment and clear recommendation based on her knowledge of current trends and popular styles. This is what I requested and I was very pleased with her willingness to make a recommendation. The result looks Fabulous. <br /> When the counter was installed, the lower edge of raw wood showed, about the thickness of the laminate. There was one seam that was not flat, and a few spots where the edge of the laminate was just slightly raised, enough that I could feel it when ran my hand over it. When this was brought to their attention, they immediately agreed that this was an issue, and promptly had someone out to fix it to my satisfaction. <br /> When the doors with the glass inserts were delivered and installed, they were transparent instead of opaque as ordered. Rick, from Lensing was doing the installation and looking at them said, 'Huh! I thought they were going to be darker than that!' He then, with our permission removed them and took them back to make sure the glass was tinted enough to be opaque. He then returned, installed and made sure they met with our approval. <br /> Everyone we dealt with through Lensing was courteous, attentive and professional. When problems or issues arose, as they inevitably will, they did what it took to make sure that we were satisfied with the result."
