"On 3-4 November 2025 Chris, Corey and Xzavier encapsulated my crawlspace and set up the dehumidifier for the electrician. Keep in mind, the crawlspace varied from about four feet to two feet. At two feet they were crawling on their bellies. The three arrived at my house on time, Chris explained exactly what was to be done and the three of them completed the job in a most professional manner. I inspected the crawlspace when the job was completed and was amazed at the workmanship that was done. I commend Chris, Corey and Xzavier for their excellent work and the courtesy shown to my wife, myself and even our dog, Zoe. Thank you, Chris, Corey and Xzavier for a job well done. "

"They had to take out a portion of my front wall which was not planned on, and the conic quality of the concrete was not as good as I thought it should be they destroyed the brick wall that they said they would be able to save and I think they also damaged an additional plumbing line, which I’m going to have to have repaired But we did get the leaking stopped, which was the big part of the problem they had to dig up the entire front foundation down to the 8 foot footer and re-waterproof the wall put in a French drain system and a new drainage system for the gutter and a sump pump"

"Three day project to jack up part of house that was sagging due to water shifting/foundation issues. French drains inside crawl space and in backyard to direct water downhill and away from foundation. Vapor barrier installed in crawl space. Very professional, great communication. They stand by their work. Would definitely recommend."

Customers say: Quality work

"This company stands behind their work I highly recommend them! We recently had our hot water tank replaced with a national brand; however, within 6 months the unit was totally out. We called them they showed up immediately and after it was determined that the defective part would have to be ordered and we would be without hot water for two additional days without hesitation they picked up a new tank replaced it no questions asked! Thanks, Carl, for all your professionalism explaining everything you were doing every step of the way."

"This company is horrible. Do not give them your money. Do not let them touch your house. All those great 5-star reviews from several years ago were under the company’s previous owner. The current owner, Brian, doesn’t care if his company’s repair job is done correctly or fixes the issue they were paid to fix. We hired Foundation Worx to add support under a hallway in our home. The job was done incorrectly, creating a large bulge in our bedroom floor and causing substantial drywall damage. I emailed Brian immediately and received no response. After calling the company a couple times, they finally sent out a salesman who doubled down on the improper repair and claimed there was no need to make any adjustments or corrections. We hired a structural engineer who confirmed the job didn’t resolve our hallway issue and actually made it worse. We sent a Right To Repair letter certified mail to Brian, which he was supposed to respond to within 30 days. Brian did not respond. After waiting over seven weeks for a response that never came, I emailed Brian again and asked for a refund, as our house experienced significant further damage while we were jumping through these hoops trying to get a resolution from Foundation Worx. Brian finally responded but only offered to repair their project, 6+ months after they broke our house. This repair should have been offered to us immediately. As we could not trust Foundation Worx to repair our home properly or in a timely manner, we paid another company to do it. I requested a refund from Brian multiple times and this request was ignored. Save yourself the nightmare we went through and hire another company."

FAQs for basement drainage channels installation projects in Peachtree City, GA

Expect a well-built French drain to last 30 to 40 years. By channeling both surface- and ground-water away from your foundation, the system relieves hydrostatic pressure and helps prevent costly structural damage. Choose a pipe with a quality cloth filter to keep sediment out and extend the drain’s life. A quick annual inspection and routine cleanouts will keep water flowing freely, ensuring the system continues to protect your home for years to come.

Most French drains sit two feet below grade, but depth ultimately depends on the problem you’re solving. For puddling rainwater or snowmelt, a shallow curtain drain at lawn level often does the trick. To handle rising groundwater, pros dig deeper, down to the footing, and run the pipe beneath the basement slab. A drainage contractor will determine the optimal depth for your specific soil conditions and water issues.

A properly installed interior French drain captures water at the slab, channels it to a sump pit, and directs it safely outside, preventing basement floods before they occur. Because the pipe sits just under the floor edge, a plumber can reach it easily for cleaning or repairs. Pairing the drain with a reliable sump pump gives you the best long-term protection.

Hire a contractor who installs drainage systems every day—typically a foundation specialist, drainage contractor, experienced landscaper, or plumber with waterproofing experience. These pros understand slope, soil, and local codes, and they have the equipment to trench safely around utilities. Ask for references and photos of recent jobs to be sure they can design a system that keeps water off your foundation for decades.

Once the drain is in, patch the yard by reseeding bare spots or replacing plants the crew removed. Inside, look for ways to add value—finishing the basement or upgrading interior waterproofing while the space is open often costs less now than later. Schedule a quick annual checkup to flush sediment and confirm the pipe and sump pump are clear. Consistent maintenance ensures the drain functions properly and protects your investment.

Most policies don’t cover the cost of repairing a French drain itself, but they may provide coverage for water damage if the system fails. Coverage varies by insurer, so be sure to read the fine print or contact your agent before any issues arise. If you live in a high-risk flood zone, consider a separate flood policy to close the gap. Knowing your coverage in advance helps you budget for repairs and avoid unexpected costs.
