"I was given Joe's number by another highly rated septic service company that was unable to accommodate me right away. I urgently needed a septic blockage diagnosed and fixed (thank goodness the relief valve kept sewage from backing up into my house and released it into the yard). Joe is knowledgeable about septic system construction and problems. He and his crew inspected the tank, jetted out the clogged line to the house, and offered options for addressing system compromise due to placement of the tank next to a large tree. I will call him for future work."

"Ray's was expecting a quick in and out, pumping two separate systems. It ended up my 99 year old Mom was flushing Wipe 'N'Dipes. Everything was clogged, nothing was moving. She lives in the guest cottage behind my house, which has a separate septic tank & drain system.. On my house, either the original owner, her brothers were the builders, had the corrigated drain tubing taped to the Septic tank vs using a PVC tube to connect tank to drain system; or the people I had pump it a few years ago, broke the outlet & used the tape. Anyway, no one told me about the tape till Ray's Septic brought it to my attention & verified it was ok to correct & continue the work. The clog, leakage, and damage caused by the rotting tape cost me aprox $5K. It pays to hire a very knowledgeable 5 star company to do it right. Five stars to Ray's Septic Service."

"They were prompt, worked hard to minimize damage to lawn and replace sod where they could, and provided consultation and education. This was the second time I used this company and both times they were exceptionally professional"

"It was a pleasure to work with Cesar and his team. They arrived on schedule and completed the entire job in just 2 days. They handled all of the interactions with the inspectors and got our new septic system up and running. Cesar communicated with us and sent pictures throughout the process. I would definitely recommend this business and I will call on them for all future projects!"

"Had a problem in the guest bathroom the commode was leaking which caused a leak in our basement. We installed a pail to catch the water and called Mr. Clean Drain Plumbing Inc. right away. Arlie and Frankie showed up within a day and solved the problem immediately. While here we also had them fix a leak in the tubing for the hot water tank. They were highly motivated, highly skilled, very reliable and a real pleasure to work with. A big thanks for such outstanding work and job well done. Bob Savage"

"Jim kept his word on appointment times and displayed a wealth of knowledge on problem resolutions.  The septic pipe repair removed the toilet backup.  The sink faucets now work without leakage.  The Jacuzzi now works very well (all jets function).  Getting hot water throughout the house.  Jim located and repaired hot water pump (no charge).

FAQs for septic system installation and replacement projects in Pendergrass, GA

Most septic system replacements require several days to complete, not including permitting and preparation time. The process begins with site assessment and testing, followed by excavation, component installation, and final inspection. Weather conditions, property accessibility, and inspection schedules can all affect your project timeline. Your contractor can provide a more specific estimate based on your property's unique characteristics.

Standard homeowners' insurance policies don't cover septic system replacement due to age or normal deterioration. Coverage may apply if damage results from specific covered events, but routine maintenance and eventual replacement are generally considered homeowner responsibilities. Review your policy details or speak with your insurance agent to understand your specific coverage limitations.

Look for multiple indicators such as slow-draining fixtures, unusual gurgling sounds in plumbing, sewage odors inside or outside your home, or wet spots in your yard. Unusually lush grass over the drain field area, frequent backups, or recurring repair needs might signal system failure. Addressing these warning signs promptly can prevent property damage and health hazards.

DIY septic installation is not recommended and may violate local regulations. Professional installation ensures compliance with health codes, proper design for your specific site conditions, and appropriate safety measures. The specialized equipment, technical knowledge, and permitting requirements make this a job best left to licensed professionals who can guarantee the system's safety and effectiveness.

With proper maintenance, including regular pumping, a drain field lasts 20 years. Various factors influence system longevity, including household size, water usage patterns, and soil conditions. Regular professional inspections can help determine when replacement becomes necessary. If your system requires increasingly frequent repairs, replacement might be more economical than continuing to address individual problems.
