"One of my home's bedrooms was showing mold on the ceiling and also in that room's closet.That closet also contains the entrance to the attic. My home is one story. I phoned MoldMedics (MM) and spoke with Thad. Thad came to my home the next day and inspected both the moldy bedroom and also other parts of the house, looking for mold that I might have overlooked. He told me what was causing the mold and he suggested what could be done in the future to prevent another mold outbreak. Thad quoted a fair price ($845 + tax) to fix the problem, and I accepted. Five days later Matt from MM came to my house and spent about 5 hours fixing the problem. Matt did an awesomely good job, including cleanup. "Our home is on the market and we had a contract with a buyer contingent on normal house inspection. The inspector identify 2 small spots in basement and issued mold as a major inspection finding. The buyer immediately backed out for mold and we lost 2-3 weeks on the market. We were devastated as never having a water issue in our basement. We called Air Tech Environmental to do a mold check and Don Culp came to the house within 2 days. He promptly identify that one spot was efflorescence (not mold, not dangerous and normal for cinderblock), and less than 2x5 inches and not a issue at all. The other spot was less then 1 sq feet on a box probably caused by a spill, not on a wall and he indicated we could remediate ourselves as it was minimal and not an issue. He promptly wrote up a report for us to prove mold was not an issue for future buyers. He was knowledgeable, professional and informative. I would recommend him highly."
