I received names of four contractors all of whom submitted a bid over the internet based on my description and a photo. I selected A-1 Drywall Repairs, Inc. based upon a number of factors including being one of the lower bids. When Alex arrived and he looked at the job in person, he realized that, because of my 'popcorn ceiling', it was a bigger job than he anticipated and the bid increased. I was not willing to pay the higher price so I finally agreed to having him simply patch the hole with a smooth finish and no texture for the previously stated price. Once agreed, Alex set to work. I was impressed that he was meticulous about cleanliness and left the house perfectly clean. He was quick, efficient, knowledgeble and skillful in his work. In addition, he was congenial and demonstrated a great personality. I would definitely hire him again but have him come to the job for an estimate first."
