"Northern basements was able to fit us in quickly, pulled our crooked cement wall back in-place and sealed the wall to prevent future leaks.  The work was timely, communication was friendly and detailed, and price was as to be expected for the large amount of work that needed to be done.  We are very pleased with the whole process as well as the results. <br />"

"Three things immediately come to mind about LeBlanc Basement Waterproofing: meticulous work, professionalism, and honesty. Now that Spring is here, the results are in! After installing the waterproofing system in the Fall of 2022, not a drop of water found its way into my basement this winter!!"

"I had serious water problems in my basement, and a crumbling foundation. The concrete block foundation had lost a lot of its grout and was bulging dangerously. Wright straightened the wall, installed French drains on two sides of the house, insulated the interior walls and ceiling of the basement, and installed a thick plastic vapor barrier on the floor. They poured about four inches of cement on the floor and installed a heater that will keep the temperature above freezing in the basement. This makes it easier to turn on the water and to heat the upstairs if I come up in the winter. The cost was about $40,000. I was very pleased with Wright's workmanship, responsiveness and the quality of their staff. I would recommend Wright without hesitation to anyone with an engineering problem."

"They are honest about things that needed to be done, that he could or could not do. He has a lot going on and so he has to work on bigger project first but that is common. Sometimes if he do not have a big job you cannot really expect to get quick service, that kind of goes for a lot of people. I would use his services again in the future, as eventually it’s the right thing."

"Ryan is a great communicator. Answered all our questions promptly and was helpful as we sorted out some complicated scheduling.  The installation was fast and the floor looks great.  It was a little more expensive than some competitors, but Tuffkote provided a longer warranty on their work. <br />"

"We own an old Historic farmhouse in Rutland Vermont area, it was built in the early 1800's. The house needed a lot of exterior work to be completed before winter. We have had some very bad experiences with other contractors in this area; I have to say that Vision builders were a breath of fresh air. <br /> <strong>1st, </strong>they were the only contractor who gave us a full itemized quote with a summary of all the materials required for each project along with associated pricing and accurate time frames to complete each item. They completed the work on time as quoted no delays, excuses or problems. Eric worked with us each day reviewing the progress and apprising us of any problems verbally and in writing so there were no surprises at the end. <br /> <strong>2nd,</strong> Eric's crew of workers were always on time, polite and considerate of our plants, shrubs and other sensitive area's, they covered everything with drop cloths and cleaned up as each project was completed. You couldn't even tell anyone had done any work around the house they were that meticulous. <br /> <strong>3rd, </strong>Eric came in at the price he quoted us with no $$$ surprises at the end. We will continue to use Vision builders for all future projects and have recommended them to many friends and acquaintances. <br /> <br />"

"He was awesome.  He called back, but he was working in Reed field, North Carolina and he could not get to us for a couple of days.  By the time, he got to us we had already gotten the other estimates, and we were pleased with him.  Hampton guy was great.  He was really quick to get back to us, but he had other projects that he had already lined up.  The experience was very satisfactory.  He was very courteous, and prompt.  He was very honest in saying that he cannot get to us, and if we needed to have this work done now, then we need to have to get somebody else.  I appreciated that."

FAQs for foundation, basement or crawlspace waterproofing / encapsulation projects in Peru, VT

The most affordable way to waterproof your basement is with interior methods like waterproof paint, costing between $1 and $8 per square foot, or silicate concrete sealers priced at $4 to $6 per square foot. However, these solutions are only suitable for certain issues. If your basement moisture is due to more serious problems like a cracked foundation, you'll need more extensive (and costly) repairs.

Absolutely! Waterproofing your basement is a smart investment that can increase your home's value. By keeping your basement dry and free of moisture problems, you protect your home's structural integrity and make it more appealing to potential buyers. Plus, taking proactive measures now can prevent costly water damage repairs down the line.

The time required to waterproof a basement depends on the selected method. Some approaches to interior waterproofing, like paint or sealant, can be completed within a day. Installing new drains or weeping tiles will need at least two to three days of labor. Any forms of exterior waterproofing that require you to excavate land will require an additional three days of work to prepare the ground.

Yes, basement waterproofing can significantly increase your home's value. A dry, leak-free basement is a strong selling point for potential buyers, enhancing your property's desirability and market price. Investing in professional waterproofing not only protects your home's structural integrity but also ensures a healthier living environment by preventing mold and mildew growth.

Waterproofing both the interior and exterior of your basement offers the best protection against moisture. Exterior waterproofing stops water from penetrating your foundation, while interior methods manage any moisture that does enter. If you must choose one, exterior waterproofing is generally more effective, as it prevents water from reaching your home's interior in the first place.
