"Manny and his crew did our home's siding (removal and replacement), new gutters, overhang, front and side door trim and door, repaired our deck, built us wooden stairs and established a drainage pipe under our lawn to catch our gutter water and sump pump water, plus a few other odd jobs and we are happy with every single one of them! He gave our house a total facelift and listened to all of our concerns as well as gave advice for how to make things look better, without overcharging us. "The contracted the work off to a third party. Jon took longer than expected. The windows was installed pretty good from the looks. Communication could have been better with knowing the job will take longer and what types of trims I wanted for the windows. As the contractor that was hired for this job by this company. Did a good job with putting up decent trim. As for the new windows they look great. I purchased the myself and hired sentri homes to install them. I will need to have a my siding on my house redone to be closer to the new windows so the gaps are not so obvious. That was not expected at first. But from old storm windows and not knowing how they were put in originally. There was some unknown things that was learned from the job being completed. I will have the siding of the house slightly done to match really good for what I wanted later on. My only concern is better communication with sentri homes. Overall they were great when I did talk to them."

"Miguel Amaya is not only an honest, fair and hard working person but he has integrity that is truly rare (and uplifting) in this day and age. I live in Westfield, NJ and had him redo my front walkway. Miguel went out of his way to make sure that I was satisfied with the finished product. He was forced to return because I was sold defective SEK Polysweep product by an unscrupulous vendor. Mr. Amaya redid the work by replacing the SEK product with the much better Gator Maxx polymeric sand. if you need hardscaping work done, hire Miguel Amaya, a decent, hard working, honest professional. STAY AWAY from Empire Building Supplies (see my review on them) and SEK Polysweep -- the product is garbage and the people who make/sell it know nothing about being good people who TRUTHFULLY care about fairness and/or their customer. Mr. Amaya would not accept my paying him a second time although he was forced do the job twice through no fault of his own. It was so unjust ** and yet so telling of the type of decent human being that Miguel Amaya is. Unlike the others I dealt with (at Empire and SEK), he was more interested in doing the right thing by me than he was about money. How rare. I was lucky to find such a good person and worker. I highly recommend him."

"Bill was a pleasure to work with. I had some definite design ideas I wanted to happen with the new siding. I didn't want vinyl or any imitation wood, I wanted real wood. Some details like how the corner would be finishing had not been decided when we started but by the time he got to the first corner he had several suggestions, we ended up going with a clean 90 degree edge. The same with around the windows, I wasn't sure what to do around the windows and wasn't too keen on putting trim, wanted to keep a simpler clean look. Bill came up with a thin aluminum trim frame that keeps a simple line around windows. Bill also did an excellent job installing a diagonal pattern in the front peak, this requires a master carpenters skill to pull off!

"I left a message with Seci to inquire about a quote to replace my roof. Keith got back to me the same day and we made an appointment for an estimate. Keith came to the house and thoroughly explained the roofing system. I knew this would be a big and pricey job as my roof had the original cedar roof plus 2 or 3 layers of asphalt shingles...and it all had to go. I got quite a few quotes for the roof. Seci wasn't the cheapest, but wasn't the most expensive either. I felt their pricing was competitive and had a good feeling about the service they would provide. Achilles came out and did a walk through and we moved forward with scheduling the job. On the day the work was to start, the crew was at the house by 7:30 am. They worked 12 hour days and were very efficient with their time. Achilles and Keith were always available for questions and checked on the job regularly. After the gutters were installed, they made sure I was satisfied with the entire job."

"Platinum Carpentry have done excellent jobs on our house. We have had several projects but the 2 main ones are the basement that was finished and now an open floor plan on our main floor (on target to complete over next 2 weeks). We have been very happy with them. The price is right and the quality of the work is great. They are very professional and responsive in all manners. We love our rooms they have done for us. "Malik runs a very professional operation. From the time of initial phone contact with Malik (yes, he does answer his own phone) to the final post-job cleanup, this was a hassle-free project for me. Malik's crew showed up promptly each morning, and under the supervision of Malik or his equally capable foreman ("Mr. Z"), every detail of this work was performed in a skilled, highly competent and precise manner. Once begun (except for rain days), the job was continued through completion. Worth noting also is the fact that, although he was aware of my budget limitations, Malik was able to deliver a first-class job which the quality of the finished product reflects. I would enthusiastically recommend him to any Angie's List member (and will be contacting him myself for all future work on my house).
