"Chris and his team completely transformed our old carpeted floors into beautiful LVP floors! The entire process was fast, smooth, and stress-free. Chris was friendly, professional, and incredibly efficient from start to finish. On top of that, the pricing was very reasonable for the quality of work we received. We couldn’t be happier with the results—highly recommend! Pictures included to show the amazing transformation!"

"Whereas I like the carpet and flooring, the new baseboards were painted (not a good job) by an unlicensed contractor they subcontracted with. They did credit me $100 however, I was stuck with the mess. We had called after we signed the contract and asked to replace the baseboards in the room that they put the new carpet in. They did not follow through and said we never called to add that to the order. Being out of town during installation, we had no idea things were not going exactly as we planned. I feel the owner and staff are rather condescending. They had an excuse for everything. It was a frustrating experience."

"From the quote to the final product the entire process was very pleasant. The installers were always very prompt and professional. I would recommend Home Solutionz except I regret that due to Home Solutionz not responding to a request to repair a defect I must give them 4-starz"

"They did a great job. They painted one large room of my home. I do not remember any additional fees for what they had done. I had to purchase paint and they had the supplies. I felt he did quality work and I was pleased with the outcome ofservice. Scheduling was fairly easy."

Jerry was amazing!  He provided me with a detailed plan for re-doing my backyard to an oasis with pavers, wall, and spa with water features.  While this was going on, he also submitted a bid to replace all my carpeted floors with tile flooring with wood plank appearance (no grout lines).  As both jobs progressed, he added pavers around the house with finishing details for newly rocked in areas at the sides and front of my house.  He also helped me plan the specific plants to put in.  Although the job took nearly 5 months, I am totally pleased with the finished product!  When Jerry began, the neighbors were appalled by the appearance, but by the time it was completed, everyone in the neighborhood (Leisure World) was thrilled--and I believe a bit jealous.  I have given several of my friends Jerry's name; and they've hired him.  Jerry is sincere about the quality of work he provides.  I've got Jerry in my list of phone contacts...he'll be my go-to guy!

FAQs for carpet repair, refasten, or stretch projects in Picacho, AZ

Removing a rug costs around $0.40 to $0.50 per square foot. This includes the fee for a contractor to roll up the rug and haul it away in a vehicle for disposal or recycling. If they need to move furniture, they might charge an additional $0.25 to $0.30 per square foot of furniture.

If your carpet has minor damage—like a single area that requires stretching, patching, or cleaning—it might be less expensive to pay for carpet repair than remove and replace it. Repairing carpet costs around $210 per project.

The cost of carpet cleaning is about $190 for a three-bedroom home, so it’s a good idea to have your carpet cleaned at least once a year. But most carpeting only lasts 10 years. If your carpet is nearing the end of its life span, it might be more cost-effective to remove and replace your carpet than to clean and repair it. The average cost to install a new carpet is about $1,800.

Search our directory of carpet removal companies and services to find an affordable, screened contractor near you. All HomeAdvisor listings are vetted, reviewed, and rated by homeowners, so you can be sure to find a local pro qualified for your project. Get at least three quotes to compare prices and the timeline for your project.

Commercial carpet removal usually costs on the lower end of the carpet removal price range, around $1.10 per square foot or even less. Carpet installation contractors often offer discounted rates for larger projects, like commercial carpet removal and installation. Similarly, you might be able to negotiate a lower residential carpet removal cost if the carpet is pulled up throughout your entire home.

Most cities accept old carpets as bulk trash, but you may need to schedule a special pickup and prepare the carpet properly. Remove any nails or glue residue, cut the carpet into manageable pieces, and roll and secure them. Alternatively, you can take your old carpet to a local recycling center for a small fee, where it can be processed and repurposed.

Yes, you can remove carpet yourself if you're ready for a labor-intensive task. DIY carpet removal requires heavy lifting and tools like utility knives, pliers, and pry bars. The process is generally straightforward but time-consuming for stapled-down carpet. If your carpet is glued down or you're worried about damaging the subfloor, hiring a professional is best to ensure the job is done safely and efficiently.
