"Our initial contact with Martin began in March with a quote request. Martin was responsive and we met within a week where we received an initial quote. Martin was personable, knowledgeable and we felt no-pressure to make quick decisions. He made numerous suggestions on trim, colors etc and suggested we look at houses with similar siding. He said find a house you really like, give me the address and I'll get all the details! This turned out to be outstanding advice as looking at 3" square samples and web pages is completely different from looking at an entire house. Martin provided a list of houses he had done using colors we liked as well as the cedar shake style. For any potential vinyl siding buyers this is the only way to select colors and styles. <br>After 6 weeks of looking at representative homes we selected the color and style. We met with Martin a second time and made changes to the original contract, adding some additional work, and finalized on the price and tentative installation date. <br>A week before the start date Martin called to let us know that weather had delayed their current project and that he would start a few days late. I appreciated his regular contact and keeping us up to date on schedules. <br>On day one the crew arrived together with Martin and got down to business! The entire house was stripped in one day and by the end of day two all the insulation was up and the house was ready for siding installation. We discovered a rotten fascia board which was replaced free of charge. A 20-year old automatic light got damaged during the removal process and again this was replaced free of charge. The team was extremely careful around our plants and bushes taking care not to damage anything. <br>The siding and trim installation took about 10 days. The crew lost ~1.5 days to pouring rain. Martin was onsite each day working with the team ensuring quality installation. The crew members were all very friendly and respectful of our property and neighbors. It is clear that Martin and his team are all experienced craftsman and we are very pleased with the results! <br>After the installation was complete Martin gave us a few days to look over the house and see if everything was to our liking. He then came back for a final walk around and inspection.  <br>From day one Martin and his team did an excellent job! The price Martin quoted was fair and actually 20% lower that other A-rated Angie's list providers. I would highly recommend Martin Kaptein siding to anyone looking for high-quality siding installation. "
