"We were very pleased with the work done by Vega Remodeling. Narcisco exceeded our expectations. We are looking forward to working with him again on future projects. Timely, conscientious and professional. A great experience with remodeling projects is not often the case, but in this instance we were thrilled to have such a smooth and positive process from beginning to completion."

"Kevin and Allison just finished a bathroom update for me today and I couldn’t be happier with the job. They were so helpful and good to work with and the workmanship on my bathroom was excellent. It really looked beautiful! Kevin is very meticulous with all his work and it certainly shows. I certainly would not hesitate to use them again and plan to when I upgrade my other two bathrooms. You certainly will be pleased with their excellent work. Revonda Rand"

"Clean Hands Painting did an amazing job. We needed to have all three of our bathrooms painted, including some patchwork to fix some cracks and drywall imperfections that had become apparent after living in the house for over 10 years. Junior kept in touch with us during the entire process and let us know exactly what to expect. The pricing was very reasonable and the work was completed very promptly. We had a major remodel happen in the master bath and Junior's team was extremely flexible and worked their schedule around the other work that was being done with no problem. They also were very flexible in adding on some more work at the last minute when we asked them to fix a crack on one wall of our master bedroom and repaint that wall. They handled it on the same day as the work on the master bath and everything went smoothly. I would ABSOLUTELY hire them again. They were friendly, professional, punctual, and VERY neat. They took care to lay down protective covering to keep the mess off our hardwoods and carpet, and they didn't leave any mess at all when they were done. The price was very reasonable for the work that was done (patching and sanding, oil primer, final paint) and they were completely transparent about the material costs. We can't say enough good things about Clean Hands Painting -- we love our new bathrooms!"

One week after Pro Plumbing replaced my main sewer line, my 18-year-old hot water heater expired. Because Brandon had taken notes on it when he did a plumbing survey of my house 10 days earlier, I was able to simply call Pro Plumbing and have them bring out the new appliance--no diagnosis or consultation was necessary. Thad and Brandon discussed the project with me, then removed the old unit and hooked up the new one. While working in my basement, Brandon noticed that my sump pump line was cracked, so I also had them replace that line. All of the work was done very neatly (no debris left behind) and the hot water heat was placed back up on bricks (because of a rainwater problem in the basement) as I had requested.

Since they were already there, Thad and Brandon suggested knocking out a couple of other items on my plumbing survey list: replacing the washer line and running water through the water to my refrigerator (same line as the washer). They discussed and priced the various options for the refrigerator line, and I chose the least expensive one. As part of the washer line upgrade, they added a clean-out and vent for the gases in the line. As it turned out, the washer pipe was almost completely clogged (they showed it to me once it was removed), so I'm grateful that their diligence in pointing out the line's incorrect size (1.5 inch rather than 2 inch) helped me avoid a major problem in the future. Everything was left spotless and returned to its proper place following this work.

While Thad was working under the house--without complaint, even though it's a tight crawl space--he took photos and pointed out a major problem with the kitchen plumbing: For some bizarre reason, the kitchen sink wasn't hooked into the sewer line and the drain was dumping directly into the crawl space. I am extremely grateful that he took the initiative to identify this issue, because I was totally unaware of the problem. Brandon consulted with me and priced the sewer line for the kitchen; I initialed the new paperwork and they did the work right then and there.

What I thought would be a simple water heater replacement turned into more than 5 hours of work, which Brandon and Thad did very efficiently and professionally. They stayed much later than they had anticipated on a Friday afternoon, without complaint. I'm grateful that they took the initiative to point out the looming problems, allowing me to fix them now rather than later, when they would have been full-blown disasters. While the job was expensive, it would have cost a whole lot more if I had waited.

I still have a bathroom renovation planned, and I will use Pro Plumbing as the contractor for that job. Brandon and Thad have offered sound advice during all of my contacts with them, and I appreciate their caring attitude and excellent workmanship.

"Job went great and the finished product is beautiful -- a totally remodeled master bathroom. It is truly our dream master bathroom. Tom's work improved our quality of life and his work and recommendations exceeded expectations. In addition to the work quality, Tom was a pleasure to work with and it was a joy to have him in our home. We completely remodeled our bathroom from top to bottom -- new toilet, sink, shower, etc., with subway tiles on the walls and marble mosaic tiles on the floor. Tom is a perfectionist and everything looks wonderful. We will definitely go to Tom again for additional work on our house. Tom was efficient and never sacrificed any details. I'd recommend him for anything."

FAQs for bathroom remodel projects in Pilot Mountain, NC

You can buy a replacement vanity by selecting a pre-made unit with an integrated sink from a local home improvement supplier. Pre-made vanities are designed for easy installation and compatibility with your existing plumbing. If a ready-made option doesn't meet your needs, consider hiring a custom builder to create a vanity that fits your space and style.

You can purchase a bathroom vanity from major home improvement retailers like Home Depot and Lowe’s or online stores like Wayfair, which offer a variety of pre-made vanities. Visiting local showrooms and bathroom supply stores can also provide professional advice and help you choose the right vanity for your space.

Installing your bathroom vanity flush against the wall enhances stability and prevents shifting. This placement also eliminates hard-to-clean gaps and keeps your vanity securely in place. Building codes often require a minimum clearance of four inches from bathtubs and at least 21 inches of free space in front of the sink for accessibility and safety.

You can upgrade a single vanity to a double vanity by installing additional cabinets, a second sink, and matching fixtures. This process requires additional plumbing adjustments, countertop modifications, and careful alignment to ensure both sinks function correctly. Upgrading to a double vanity enhances bathroom functionality and offers more space, which is especially beneficial for shared bathrooms.

The best vanity top material depends on your budget, style preferences, and maintenance willingness. Materials like quartz or solid surfaces are excellent choices for durability and low maintenance. If you're on a tighter budget, laminate is affordable but less durable. Consider how much traffic your bathroom gets and choose a material that balances cost, appearance, and upkeep.

Installing a bathroom vanity takes between three and six hours. Simple installations may be completed in under three hours, while more complex projects requiring adjustments or plumbing modifications can take up to six hours or more. The installation process includes assembling cabinets, placing the countertop, installing the sink if necessary, and connecting plumbing.
