I am a professional designer who has supervised interior construction across the US and in 12 countries overseas. Sergio submitted the lowest written bid out of five contractors. The team was punctual, neat and exacting in the difficult task of cutting out the old wood flooring in the kick spaces underneath existing kitchen cabinets. They cut out and patched defective wood sub-flooring and then deftly applied Ditra matting before laying the cleft cut slate, using a hi tech system of spacing and leveling the slate. Throughout the entire process, precision and professionalism was their mantra. I will gladly and highly recommend this team for any and all work involving tile or stone work. This project involved a historic stone building, built in the 1700's, and located in a designated historical district. (Just for a little background, this building was burned by the British in 1777.) Everything went very smoothly for a project of this complexity. Derek and his crew are all very professional and he has a contract that clearly spells out all rights, responsibilities and remedies available to the contractor and property owner. I've been in property management for over 25 years and this is the first time I've seen this. I've dealt with a lot of contractors over the years and I can't think of one that comes close to the excellent experience that I've had with Derek and his employees.

Everything was completed, weather permitting, in a timely manner. All debris was removed and the site was left in perfect condition.

He will also go above and beyond in order to get the job done right. In this instance, he had to bring I a heavy duty lift to safely perform the highest work. Unfortunately the weight of the lift broke some of the bluestone walkway that surrounds the building. Derek never tried to skirt responsibility and it was decided, after talking to the city building inspector, that the affected stretch of sidewalk would be fully replaced with an asphalt surface. After it was finished he sent me a pic and the work was excellent.

HOWEVER, a couple days later the Dept of Public Works came by and said it all had to come up and be replaced by bluestone. The city, thankfully, would supply the stone. Now, mind you, this was in no way Derek's fault. He had gotten prior approval from the building dept. That notwithstanding, the beautiful brand new asphalt sidewalk was removed and replaced by Derek.

In my opinion, after dealing with many contractors over the years, you'll not find a more professional, competent or skilled contractor than Remodeling Concepts and Derek Loughran. I used him again for a rather large roofing job on another building and the experience was also excellent. I'll be posting a separate review for that project. These projects are not our last ones together.

"Tom and Matt came by to side my house (and garage), put in new windows, and rip off the old roof and put a new one on. Attention to detail was impeccable. All of our neighbors were impressed with the work, and would often stop by to see the guys work their magic. They got here early every day, busted their butts, and always made sure to clean up before they left. Bonus, if there was pizza and a beer as the light at the end of the tunnel, they would always put in a few extra hours. Great guys. I will be using All Phases again for my next project."
