Our main project was to install a portable air conditioner in a room with a casement window. We thought we would have to replace the window with a full-sized traditional window. Joe saved us an incredible amount of money by suggesting, and installing, a much-less-expensive option that works just fine. Furthermore, Joe readily agreed to another project and built a new picnic table bench to replace our dilapidated one and shored up our other bench. "I am very satisfied with the service provided given the price we payed. I quoted 3 moves total and Moving Ahead came in $500 less expensive than the next quote before I purchased the Angie's list coupon.
After filling out  brief questionnaire via email, the rep sent a firm Flat Rate quote to do all the work in one day. I was nervous given the brevity of the questions but according to the rep, if it can fit in the truck, it would be included in the price. In the end, all the work was completed for the original price. They sent the 26' truck with a 3 man crew of very large guys (think college football players- we even confirmed that one of them played). The guys knew how to pack a truck and there was plenty of space left over.
I did not give Moving Ahead all A's because the crew showed up 1.5 hours late according to my confirmation sheet. I was told 11AM start via email(no window), the lead's sheet said 11AM- 12PM start, they showed up at 12:30PM. Not a big issue except I wish they would have called to let me know they were running late. It was a Saturday and could not get a hold of the crew via the office number so I was panicking about them not coming. I would suggest Moving Ahead train their leads to do a courtesy call 30 min before the crew arrives whether or not they are running late.
Overall, I am very happy with the rate and service and would use them again.

Additionally, they replaced my gutters as well. Jason took care of working things out with my insurance company, as well. Overall, I was extremely pleased with their quality, care and the results!"

"New installation went well. I was a little upset that only 50% was covered being that the unit was 19 years old. I'm sure that parts for something that old would be hard to find. Replacement was recommended."

"Fan venting had to be adjusted, requiring 2 trips. This was not due to faulty fan installation - but due to how the venting was done with the old fan.  1st installer did not know why fan ran noisy.  Company did call me to ask if I was satisfied, and I told them about the noise situation.   Second handyman found the problem and repaired the venting so that the fan now runs quiet. Company uses contractors - which I didn't know when I purchased Angie's "Big Deal".  Cost was more than I thought I would be spending, but the handymen were friendly, considerate; the company cared enough to call back to see if I was satisfied and the job was completed. I would try them again because of the good follow up, and the considerate handymen.
