"Approximately two years ago we added a Sunroom and deck on the back of our house. We chose BetterLiving Patio Rooms to do the job, and we were very pleased with the outcome and highly recommend them! We use the room all year as we added heat and air conditioning, and it has become our favorite room! The owner Ray was the individual we personally worked with. Ray and everyone on his staff were very professional and outstanding to work with. Many of our neighbors have complimented the work and have asked us who the contractor was. Every time we have friends or family over who are seeing the room for the first time, we continue to get the same response "WOW this room is beautiful, and look what it has done to the value of your home". We have made many improvements to our home over the years, but this by far was the best decision we made. It has not only become our favorite room, but our favorite retirement spot. Old city came to my house with a multitude of projects on the checklist and completed each one with an attitude like it was their own house! They first fixed/installed flooring in the basement with an incredible amount of focus and integrity on the work at hand and it was not an easy task with so many issues left from old owners BUT It turned out amazing! I also had broken stairs, a closet maid to install and issues with a wall in the bathroom. They did it all quickly and efficiently. It is amazing to watch people take their trade to the heart to try and provide the best quality and experience for the Customer. "Mike, the owner/installer is a great guy.  He is punctual and knows his business.  His price is very fair and reasonable probably because he offers only one type of railing.  Customer has no choice of selection of railing.  Mike will paint the railing any color you want but the style is the same. It is a very basic functional railing....which is fine if that is what you want.  A complaint I have is that the railing does not feel like it was "finished".  There are some rough spots/edges that Mike suggested I sand lightly if it is bothering me.  I would have preferred that he sand it smoothly himself at his shop before painting it.  It only took Mike and a helper 1 hour to install all four railings (which included a supporting post and drilling through a metal pole....that was very welcomed.

"We played email tag for a few days but it was easy to schedule (within a week of my calling). He was able to meet my time parameters easily two hours on two days.  Marty arrived on time and we went over all of the possible jobs I wanted completed and prioritized them. We agreed to do the projects out of order so that he could pick up parts that evening and complete the remaining jobs the following day. Marty was very thorough and efficient diagnosing the electrical problem. He didn't  use up all of the time trying to figure it out. He found an unsafe electrical mess. He showed and explained to me what the issue was and the most efficient and safe option to correct the issue (rewire, cut power to the existing mess). He mounted 1 tv but had to get anchors for the second tv (they weren't included in the box). Next he diagnosed a faulty shop light, determined that it wasn't the bulb or electrical but the fixture itself.  He gave me an estimate on the new fixture and agreed to pick up another fixture in addition to the wall anchors. He came back the next day and completed the remaining jobs without a problem and I settled the tab on parts which was exactly what was estimated.

"Zach is a hardworking and honest contractor. He replaced some leaking skylights, and repaired a section of roof that was leaking around another. He and his crew put in more than a full days work staying late to finish the job. His price was very fair and I would definitely hire him again. Of note, he also knows his limitations and did not attempt to work on a larger flat roof and gave me some recommendations for someone to call for that. Much better than working on it and having a bad outcome down the road. I appreciated this honesty."
