"We hired Ron to replace our existing driveway in front of our garage, and to extend the driveway beside the garage. Ron also put in a paver patio leading up to our front door. Ron was very punctual and professional from the first point of contact through completion. He was extremely patient as we drafted different "ideas" for the size and dimensions of the driveway and patio, even as we made change orders midway through the project. Ron focuses on quality and wants to make sure his customers are happy. He goes above and beyond to make sure every detail is perfect and to your liking. He treats every job, no matter the size, with the same level of detail and attention to quality. He's a family man, and made best friends with my two-year old son who would get so excited to watch Ron work. I would highly recommend Ron for any concrete, patio, or masonry project. We will be asking Ron to come back in the spring to replace the remaining asphalt driveway with concrete, and to do a patio behind our house."

"The crew from Armstrong Waterproofing did a fantastic job of fixing our drainage problem. They were punctual and on time every day and even worked later that would be expected to get to a good stopping point each day. They were very careful not to damage any electric and water lines coming into the house during the excavation process. They excavated the ground to the footers on the outside of the basement wall, cleaned and applied waterproofing, and installed drain pipe both for a footer drain and for any downspouts. We have already noticed a big difference in our basement wall, even with the excessive rain this week. They offered sensible options for fixing our problem at a reasonable cost. We would highly recommend Armstrong Waterproofing."

"Joe and his team, Dave and Dillon, are superior craftsmen.  They repaired and finished work that a previous person had done incorrectly and left incomplete. Joe and his crew are efficient, competent professionals. They finished a poorly done, unfinished mess to a beautiful creation.  I cannot say enough how good they were, how honest and pleasant.  They cleaned up thoroughly.  "

"These young men were real workers and really knew their job. Cris not only came promptly to give his estimate, but they both put in 11-hour days when the old floor was jack-hammered out and when the new concrete was poured and shaped. They were neat and careful and had good suggestions--such as a wider and deeper entrance step to the kitchen which is great. They were also very willing to do extra jobs for us (carrying out a cord of firewood from the garage to to the driveway and covering it and removing a basketball pole in the front yard set in concrete.) <br /> On the second day after the floor was put in they came back to seal it and then power-washed the driveway where their equipment had been. We are very pleased with the job and certainly recommend Cris Custom Concrete. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"<p>Just wanted to drop a line or two and let you all know how impressed we were with both your workmen and their work.  In today's society, you just don't find companies that really do a great job, they usually just do enough to "get by".<br /> <br /><br /> <br />At times, without their knowledge, I was home and could hear some of the men talking.  Much to my surprise, their language and subject matter were always appropriate.  Don't find that much in the labor force today!  It spoke volumes to me.  When they did speak with us, they were always very kind and informative.<br /> <br /></p> <p>The work that was performed consisted of excavating the dirt to gain access to the footings on both sides of the foundation.  On the inside, they had to bust out the concrete floor and hand dig to the footing in order to install their brackets for the "unified lift system".  After installing the brackets, they attached special hydraulic equipment to the brackets which drove 3" diameter<br /> <br />pipes down to bedrock.  Next, they attached a hydraulic jacking system to each pier location.  Using their special vehicle with a unique hydraulic pumping system they attached hydraulic lines to each location and were able to do a controlled lift.  From what we understand, your company is one of the only ones that can perform this "unified lift".<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />We were taking pictures daily and emailing them out to family and friends who could not believe their eyes!  They started out making our basement look like a bomb went off and when they were done it was swept and looking very nice!<br /> <br /><br /> <br />All this to say that the work done was absolutely astonishing!  We will highly recommend EHM to everyone that we hear may need this type of work completed.<br /> <br /><br /> <br />Thanks so much again.  We were dreading having this work completed, but you all made it so much nicer by your<br /> <br />expertise, kindness, and professionalism.</p> <p>Mike and Cheryl <br /> <br /></p> <br />"

"My storm sewer pipe from my sump broke in my front yard. Craig got the plans from the town showing where the pipes are, called to get the utilities marked, dug up the area of the breakage, and replaced the pipe. Our front garden and some bushes were pretty much destroyed, since the pipe ran underneath them. Nothing that could be done to prevent that, but Craig also took out the remainder of our bushes (deep strong roots) with the backhoe upon our request for nothing extra. My only complaint is that one cleanout from the storm sewer got buried by the backhoe and I can't find where it is anymore, which I didn't notice until well afterwards. <br />"

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Pittsford, NY

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
