"<p>Our main sewer line is PVC up to the curb where it turns to clay. Because water was backed up, he couldn't use the jet to clean so he started with a cable, but the cable could not get to the clay part because of an offset of the lines. he got a camera to ***** and showed me and explained everything he saw. Once water moved, he brought in the jet and with the assistance of the camera, removed all the roots in the line. The root clogs were really bad and he took his time to make sure all were gone. Showed me the line once it was clean as well, no roots left. He advised me of my options, how I can treat the line for roots with a foaming root killer and optionally invest in a new line to rid of the problem altogether.  James was a pleasure to have, very polite, down to earth. Talked to my kids about chess and TV shows while working, very patient. left the place very clean when work was completed. He got himself a new happy customer and will be using his services whenever I need drain/sewer work.</p>"

"Very responsive! A two-man crew came next morning. The experienced assistant plumber successfully cleared the bathtub drain. Greatly appreciated. However, the young master plumber was unable to figure how to install a high-end toilet. After 2 hours, had him re-install the 1960&apos;s toilet. The job required a wax ring and some fasteners. The job was to replace the vintage toilet that was wobbly and didn&apos;t flush well. Now the vintage toilet is sturdy but still doesn&apos;t flush well. They didn&apos;t charge for the unsuccessful new toilet install. Can recommend for drain clearing, not for plumbing,"

Today Chris, Zack and a third crewman arrived at 8am to replace the main sewer line from my house all the way to the town sewerage connection. Zack handled the CAT like a master, I watched him put the bucket between two posts that are so close together I didn't think the bucket could fit and he didn't even tap or nick either one. My apologies to the third crewman as I cannot remember his name but he always seemed to be exactly where Chris and Zack needed him. More proof of how great H & M is to work with is the fact they completely cleaned and swept the entire area as will as loading their trucks to finish, as promised, at 3pm. "Suddenly, my basement drain was backing up! A friend tried to unclog it, but to know avail. He thought it might have something to do with the sewer line that ran to the street! Right away, I started seeing dollars signs. So, I went on Angie's list and saw the reviews for HL Bowman. Because they were so highly recommended, I went to their website. Immediately, there was a person named Tiera to chat with. I explained my situation and she asked me a few questions. She told me she would have some one call me. I asked if it would be today because there was sitting water in my basement and I was afraid to even flush a toilet! She said it would definitely be today! Within two minutes of concluding the chat, my phone rang. A very courteous person assured me that he could get someone out there today! It was about 8:30 am and he told me that he could have someone by this afternoon and they would call me before they arrived. Around noon, a young man named Clayton called and said he was on his way. When he arrived, he went to basement and checked out the situation. When he came up he said that he thought the clog was in the pipe along the wall going out to the sewer. He brought in a machine and spent approximately and hour and a half trying to open the clog. He then told me that he had called another person from the company to bring a larger machine. Then, Corey showed up with a huge machine and Clayton left to go to another job. Corey was down there for about another hour and half. The machine was much louder than the first one. I was really worried about the cost and the fact that it was taking so long to open. I pictured having to have my lawn torn up and imagining what that would entail, not to mention the cost. Suddenly, he appeared and I tried to prepare for the worst. He looked at me with a smile on his face and said, "it's open". I was so surprised, I am sure he saw the relief on my face. 'He explained that he had to go out 75 feet to the street, and the that the clog was because of tree roots which he grinded through. I knew this machine was probably more expensive to use than the smaller one. So I braced my self and I asked him what the total charge would be! When he told me, I was shocked as that even included the $70 service fee which included up to 45 minutes to diagnose the problem and give me an estimate. But, because Corey had to bring a bigger machine and stay longer than Clayton had estimated, I was sure it was going to be astronomical. Corey said he would figure it out! When he told me the price I could hardly believe my ears. It was half of what I had anticipated! I was thinking about $1,000- $1200! I can't begin to explain how relieved I was.. I would like to say both Clayton and Corey could not have been nicer. Very mannerly, friendly, and polite. When Corey left, everthing was cleaned up! No sewage anywhere. And another thing that I thought was extraordinary, was how unafraid they were of my two pittbulls. They petted them and Corey even told them to stay when they tried to follow him out the door. LOL! And they, listened! I have found my company should I need any future help. It's good to know that there is someone out there who is professional, knowledgeable, and who charges fair prices. It wasn't cheap, but I believe it could have been a lot higher. Family members also thought the price was good. It started out as a bad day, but I had a smile on my face when Corey left!"
