"Planning: We met with three contractors and reviewed small, medium and larger options for our existing space. Ryan from Norman Builders won us over with his confidence, organization and no problem attitude. Of course we had concerns and questions, but it was clear he had worked in colonial houses before. What really won us over was his excitement to do something different with our space. From day one, you could tell every detail of this job mattered as this was a new way to design a traditional space. His timelines, pricing and execution plan was clearly laid out. As a GC, he organized everyone from; designer, permits, dumpsters, demo, electric, plumbing, painters, floors, ceilings, etc. He would do it all. The Job: Completely gut our existing kitchen and formal dining room. Remove a wall and install a steal support beam. He'd then move the kitchen to the old dining space and make the old kitchen a common area with built in desk, bench and bar area. The dining room would then be moved to our four season bonus room. Floors, wall, ceilings all came down. All new plumbing and lighting throughout the first floor. Execution: I mean, its funny to say, but we miss these guys. They practically lived with us for the summer. Couldn’t have been better with our entire family (kids and dog included) Everyone was so respectful of world climate (summer of Corona) and space. Of course you need patience with the process. Timelines were clear and the job finished slightly ahead of schedule. In the End: I mean, wow. When we looked at the blueprint on day one, we legit thought they shared the wrong plans. We couldn’t imagine everything we wanted would fit. They nailed it. It’s a dream space for our family and we couldn’t be happier. We couldn’t recommend Ryan Norman Builders any higher. We can’t wait to have them back to work on the upstairs next."

"We hired John to repair our master bathroom. There was rot and ants behind the walk-in shower as well as some mold and damage to one of the wall boards and some floor tile damage. We decided to remove the shower and make it a 1/2 bath instead since the room was a little too small to begin with. John and his subcontractors were prompt, on time, and on budget. He did an amazing job matching up the flooring, eliminating the shower, and installing a linen closet it its place. The entire job, from demo through finish, took them less than a week and it came out perfectly. I'm very happy with the results and would hire John and team again in a heartbeat."

"When we started our plan of remodeling, the first thing we did was the complete roof replacement including kitchen vent & duct pipe installation to the roof, and new installation of attic ventilation. His proposal included a rebuild of a wall of the bathroom to expand another one adjacent to it. Matt accepted to use my schematic design image (made with a software tool) and a spreadsheet list of the fixtures that I created - as many as fifty items including TOTO, Grohe, American Standard, Panasonic, and IKEA - to start the job (later changed some of them due to local plumbing code compliance) After beginning the bathroom remodel project, Matt shared what jobs will be done with us timely and efficiently via text so that we feel comfortable enough in knowing what is going on while living in the house of dust & noise from remodeling. The crews, Zen and Mark, were very courteous, extensively experienced, reliable, and friendly with excellent communication, sometimes with songs of 80s rock music. They ask me when more precise specifications are needed and notified me when they feel advance notifications are required. When a change is necessary due to inspection, they informed me and clarified what and why. I have never felt uncomfortable in living together with the remodel job which has lasted over four months. The completed two bathrooms were stunning, just as I imagined. Matt, Zen, and Mark have proved their strong & thoughtful expertise and lived up with my request patiently until completion. Great job. "I am a big fan of Heritage. We needed to replace our broken furnace and I got quotes from five different HVAC companies, all of which had many 5-star reviews. Heritage was the best, by far, for a few reasons: Dexter, the HVAC project manager from Heritage, was professional and patient. He answered all of my questions, applied no sales pressure, helped me customize the job to my budget and needs, and even brought us space heaters to keep the house warm since we had no heat in winter. Heritage was one of only two companies to actually take detailed measurements of my home before recommending a furnace size and submitting an estimate. Three of the companies just eye-balled it and recommended furnaces that were twice the size of what Heritage recommended. Some of them told me I had to replace my entire heating and cooling system or I would have major problems (which Dexter debunked). If an HVAC project manager does not bother to measure your house before recommending a furnace size, you should be concerned. Dexter helped me every step of the way with the HEAT loan and furnace rebate process. Dexter worked around my busy work schedule and communicated in person, phone, email, and text, depending on what was best for my workday. After the furnace was installed, the house got uncomfortably dry and we realized we needed to add a whole-house humidifier (which Dexter had recommended originally). Heritage was able to come out the morning after we called and put in a humidifier and the house was comfortable within a day. The Heritage install and service guys (Fran, Bob) were professional, patient, and courteous from start to finish. The installation site was clean and well-labeled. They checked in with me and explained important items along the way. The Heritage office staff are always reachable and helpful with any scheduling, billing, or follow-up questions. The only drawback is they are definitely a premium brand and charge on the higher end for their work. They quoted higher than any of the other four companies. That said, I was able to negotiate the price and I was happy to pay a little extra for a job well done, a strong warranty, and professional service. Honestly, Heritage won me over and I will only use them in the future for my HVAC needs. They were transparent and professional and I never felt like I was getting hustled (unlike a few other big-name brands). Now I recommend Heritage to everyone I know."
