"Our home had a septic system that was illegally installed using cheap thin wall PVC that collapsed when the fill dirt covered the trench. Over time, the system backed up and would not drain properly. The initial plan was to replace the cheap PVC from the tank to the distribution box with SDR17, however we found the line to be over 5 feet deep, (it was a long run) which means the leach field had to be as deep or deeper.....John analyzed the existing system and decided there was no way to make it work, while at the same time meeting code. He came up with a plan to build a new system on the other side of the property where there was adequate room for a "D" box and leach lines. I was and am very impressed with John's work ethic, and that goes for the men that worked on our system - HARD workers all.......and watching Robert operate the excavator was artistry in motion. "I needed to have dishwasher and kitchen pipes checked for leakage after hardwood floors were warping by the dishwasher. Contacted Ben Franklin. Response was quick and professional. Follow up by main office on work and employees was timely. Although leak was the dishwasher, I had BF check out the pipes just in case. They found the main kitchen drain pipe was weak and problem waiting to happen. I was shown the corroded pipe by the plumber. Replaced not a moment too soon. Pipes were replaced and other pipes under the house were checked. Discovered leak from water faucet for refrigerator ice maker. Faucet replace and recessed in the wall.
