"Each job we asked for was performed on time and with exceptional quality. The kitchen renovation involved the demolition of the wall between the kitchen and our dining room, which also involved rerouting all of the electrical and HVAC work-- their work exceeded our wildest expectations and our new kitchen makes this new house feel like home.  We also added on the powder room and painting jobs in the middle of the contract and CRG worked tirelessly to still complete the entire contract within a very reasonable timeline.  The powder room itself required quite the hunt for the drain and plumbing to reroute towards the enclosed porch area, but they never once increased their estimate despite the fact that hunting for this drain required many additional hours of poking through walls and then patching up the resulting holes. We were also thankful that Cornelio and his workers graciously and skillfully put together our IKEA cabinet drawers. We can't say enough nice things about the company-- we would recommend them to close friends and family and are looking forward to hiring them again.

Our new kitchen included new flooring, which extended into joining laundry room (we chose porcelain tile),  level 1 granite counter top, tile backsplash, paint, new cabinets, and electrical work (we replaced a big light with 4 recessed lights, and moved the location of our appliances.)

New half bathroom included new vanity, granite counter top, flooring (which extended into the entry way), paint, and they installed a new toilet, mirror and light fixture which we purchased separately.

Ocean's estimate was the best we received. (One contractor gave an estimate for just refacing cabinets which was almost as much as Ocean's for brand new ones.) They also had great reviews on Angie's List so we decided to go with them. We worked with Sean. He was very responsive and easy to communicate with.

Our installers were a team of 3 that worked very efficiently and cleaned up after each work day.

There were a few hiccups along the way, but I think that can be expected when doing such a major job. Both Sean, and the installers made sure that we were happy in the end.

We would definitely use them again. The price was great, as was the quality of work and professionalism.

We are very happy with our kitchen and bathroom.

"Atlantis has done a gerat job for my kitchen countertop. They have guide me from selecting the granite from their huge warehouse. They also walked me a tour to their fabrication and to show me how granite countertops are being processed from beginning to my kitchen. I really enjoyed their guidance and the countertop Atlantis installed. Price was very competitive. They even provide me a free sink:))) Go Atlantis Go, no one can stop you with the service and honesty you have.. Thank you Atlantis. Robert

"I hired WD Graves as part of a special promotion through Angie's List. The response was exceedingly prompt, and our faucet was professionally installed. However, our home's water pressure is a bit low, and the Moen fixture we purchased to install uses a water saving device, and the pressure was unacceptably low. I called WD Graves back to see if anything could be done, they came back straight away, and resolved the issue satisfactorily by changing the valves on the water supply to the kitchen facet to a straight line valve that increased water flow to the faucet which resolved the problem. It would be hard not to say that this company was polite in its phone communications, its plumber was exceedingly polite and professional, and when we voiced some concerns, we did not get the run around, we got a solution. The extra visit only cost us the price of the new valves, not the labor, and was such a blessing."

"The whole process was relatively smooth. the sales person was good and knowledgeable. After signing the contract, two person crew came to measure. It took about a month and a half before windows were ready. Scheduling during the winter was a bit difficult, but it was not their problem. In bad weather, I would not want them climbing a tall ladder to install the window. Install was done professionally. We are satisfied. We would use them again.

FAQs for baseboard installation projects in Port Tobacco, MD

Installing crown molding can be challenging, depending on the material and your skill level. Lightweight materials like polystyrene and softwoods are easier for homeowners to install themselves, offering a cost-saving option. However, heavier materials like hardwoods and plaster are difficult to work with and require professional installation to achieve a high-quality result. Precision is crucial in measuring, cutting, and fitting crown molding, so hiring a professional ensures the best outcome.

Crown molding is available at various price points, ranging from $1 to $30 per linear foot, depending on the material. This wide range offers options for every budget. Affordable materials like MDF, PVC, and polystyrene provide cost-effective solutions, while premium materials like exotic hardwoods or metal offer a luxurious appearance at a higher cost. Regardless of your budget, you can find crown molding that enhances your home's aesthetic.

Crown molding is installed by professional finish carpenters or painters who specialize in detailed trim work. These experts possess the necessary skills and tools to ensure precise measurements, accurate cuts, and seamless installation. By hiring a professional, you can achieve a flawless finish that enhances your home's aesthetic appeal without the risk of common DIY mistakes.

Crown molding can be installed in various areas of your house to add elegance and architectural interest. It is commonly used where walls meet the ceiling, but you can also place crown molding around doors, windows, mirrors, and atop cabinets. Installing crown molding in these locations enhances visual appeal, creates a cohesive design, and adds a touch of sophistication to your home's interior.

To determine how much crown molding to purchase, start by measuring the length of each wall where you plan to install crown molding and add the measurements together to determine the total linear feet required. Purchase an extra 10% of material to account for waste from cutting angles and to ensure seamless joints by using full-length pieces when possible. Including additional material helps avoid shortages and ensures a smooth installation process.

For a professional crown molding installer, this task takes about 1 to 3 hours per room, depending on size and complexity. Factors like the material, design intricacy, and number of corners can affect the time. If you're doing it yourself, expect it to take longer as you get the hang of measuring and cutting precise angles. Advanced measuring and planning or hiring a pro can help the project go smoothly.
