"When you purchase this service you are asked to send pictures of the room, and a layout drawing with the dimensions in inches. I sent pictures from every angle in the room. My layout drawing was rough, but I made sure that the dimensions were correct. It is important to show doors, and width from door to wall, windows and spaces between window and wall, etc.
Explain how you invision the room and what you would like to keep in the room. You should let her know what you like and dislike as far as fabrics, colors, and style of furniture. I hate paisley, but failed to include this in the information that I sent to the designer. So there was some paisley in my concept board. I told her what I liked, but failed to tell her what I disliked and would not want to see in the room.
Once I sent pictures, dimensions, and room layout I received 2 suggested layouts for the room from Jill. I selected the layout that I preferred. You they receive a concept board for the room with her suggested furnishings and fabrics. To my surprise she also gives alternatives to what she suggests. Her suggestions are in various price ranges so that you can choose within your budget.
It is now in your hands to complete your room.

"Richard is excellent! The only problem with Richard is that he is so busy that he still hasn't had time to get on my next project of levelling the floor, installing the heat strips and setting 500 sq ft of 6x36 ceramic tile. He's going to start that next weekend and I'm sure that I will be giving you another review. All joking aside, Richard is very professional. He has very good equipment which says knowledge and success. He priced the job low and still did several extra things that I asked him to do while he was there. He asked for no extra money. Being a business owner myself, I felt that the job was so well done that I increased the total by 30% and still felt that I was underpaying. (Update) First let me say that Richard is an outstanding human being. I would trust him with my wallet. He works very hard to please the Customer. We are doing a complete remodel of our guest house and so far Richard has done the entire bedroom. That includes sheetrock, tile floor, paint and trim. As I stated in the previous review, he did a great job hanging the rock and did it so cheap that I paid him extra. The tile in that bedroom, about 450SqFt., is 6" X 36" on a very unlevel concrete slab. He worked his butt off getting that tile down. It wasn't perfect but I don't think anyone could have done better with that very difficult tile job. So, the sheetrock and tile were very good but then came the painting. The painting was really bad. I think that he got behind his scheduling because of the high difficulty of the tile job and rushed the paint. He chose to spray the walls and there is overspray everywhere. He put down tarps but they mare really for brush and roller work, not sprayers. Paint also shows the flaws in the sheetrock finishing and there were more quite a few. Richard worked diligently trying to fix them. I actually felt sorry for him, paid him and let him get on to his next job. I have another painter coming in to repair the paint job and I am working nights with paint thinner to clean the tile myself. I would still use Richard on some projects now that I know his skill level. I just expected too much from a man that bills himself as a handyman. All that said, if you have any tile job, Richard is as good as any contractor out there. I don't want to cost Richard any work. I own my business and admit that I have high expectations from other self-employed businessmen."

"My doorbell rang before 7:30am. The technician, the owner's son, must have already had several cups of coffee because he was extremely loud and talked non-stop. Having just woken, it was extremely uncomfortable communicating with this man. I gave him a list of tasks and he got started.
In less than an hour, he said he needed a part and I was thrilled to send him to Home Depot so I could get dressed and get a bit of peace and quiet.
As he worked, he left a series of little messes behind and in one area, he piled all the packaging boxes. I am still finding little pieces of wire in the carpet.
On my list was to replace a ceiling fan in the living room and he said he could not do it because I had the wrong base plate. I was able to drill a hole in the existing plate and hung the fan myself.
I asked him to check a short in a bathroom fan light and because he tested it with the switch and it functioned, he investigated no further.
Not only was he was irritating and messy, he worked for just under 4.5 hours when I paid him for 6.
I would NOT recommend this company to Angie's List subscribers.

"After giving us an estimate in Dec 2014 and constantly following up with us they earned our business. They installed 8 piers and 3 beams under our home and what a difference! Just walking across the floors feels so sturdy. Now that this has been completed we can begin working on our kitchen remodel. Thanks Again!
