"Heater was originally giving error code. I requested to be contacted by tristate (got responses from other companies so I know it was working) and sent error code to them. Was not contacted. Called them finally after snow hit and they said they never got my info so I'd have to wait because it was busy from snow. No attempt to remedy the non-response and put me at the back of the line. I made sure I gave all the info about the model of heater and error code to person on the phone and he said they don't worry about all that and the tech would get all that info. When the tech finally came, he said to tell the people on the phone the error code because it helps them so obviously there are internal communication issues that need to be addressed across several mediums. Tech replaced the part and it worked for a little while. Error code and new error code came back so I called them again and passed the error code to the phone person again. Tech shows up again and says he wasn't given the error code and he couldn't get the heater to repeat the problem so he made some adjustments and charged us more money. We still have problems with the heater but won't call because they are charging for each service call as a new problem even though it's all related to the same error code when I first called. When the heater broke as it normally does, I opened the covers to my furnace to find a disconnected hose and tape over the door switch that should have been taken off when the tech left because of safety. It seems like the company doesn't really have a philosophy of taking ownership of any problems and are really more of a group of people who kick the can down the road for the next tech to deal with. I only say this because the way I run my business. If I charged someone to fix a problem and their problem still isn't fixed, I couldn't sleep at night if I just charged them again to not fix the problem because of my ethics and it's a shame that more local businesses are treating their neighbors like this. Go with a smaller company that cares about their neighbors."

"They did an excellent job of installing the new panel at a reasonable price. Also they had financing options that were same as cash. I was provided some options of circuit breakers and the price with the options. The differences in breaker were explained and the code requirements for my area was also explained and compared to other local code standards. I was able to customize the options a little bit based on my needs and I have more space in the panel if I have additional requirements. Going from a box from the 1960’s to a modern solution mad a lot of sense. The installation was smooth with only a short time without power. Throughout the process, I was well informed of the progress. My family was able to work remotely from home during most of the install without too much disruption. (Used cell phone for internet and laptops while power was off.) They even installed a monitoring system for me to track the electrical use of the house. Overall they did a great job and I am very satisfied."

"Don’t use the plumbing! Called to have Kohler toilet tank plunger repaired. Whole installation is $20. Labor is an hour at $80 so the price is $150, at most. No, they charged $450–BS! These guys are a scam. No prices and I told them to have the repair person call me before arriving. No call, no prices. And, then the repair person has the stones to tell me that everyone overcharges!! Let’s start with not using Beacon!!!"

"Do not use this company. They will rip you off. The contract was for eight 300W LED 40 ft pole lights, but I caught them redhanded installing 240W. Who does that? Then, they broke my lock and broke into my sprinkler room which I saw on my video which they admitted. Then, Kolb sued me for not paying the bill which I disputed due to lost tools as result of the break-in. Who does that breaking into a customer's sprinkler room and not informing that they did. I had to catch them on my video. Not only that it took over one year to the work proposed work. TOTAL FRAUD. I will be going to court...."
