"I would totally recommend this company! Ariel went above and beyond for me when replacing my roof and gutters! Ariel would call me and let me know he was on the way or if he was running even 5 minutes behind. My house looks great and I will be using them again come spring to start replacing some of my windows. Thank you Ariel! Your crew was great, too."

"

After reading Watry Homes reviews on this site, we contacted them in March. I had reached the point where I no longer wanted to maintain the house, and after researching siding options and speaking to other home owners, was seeking a contractor to install what I believed was the best siding solution, Hardy Plank. It was our intention to have the work done before the summer months, to avoid the disruption and scheduling conflicts which inevitably happen in high season.

Scott Watry came out and inspected/measured the house on March 17, presented window options and gave an overview of the process. Within a week we had an estimate and we gave him the commitment assuming the work would begin as soon as materials were received within a few weeks. The project did not get underway, however, until June 4th, the day I was leaving for two weeks of travel. My wife provided daily updates in my absence, and glowing reviews of Scott's workers, specifically, Paul and Rob who came in and installed the windows and doors. I met these guys later and they are true professionals who pay close attention to detail. The siders were also efficient and meticulous in their work, and cleaned up every day. The crew had a few guys, but Roberto, who appeared to be their lead, was very responsive to every question or request, and went out of his way to be accommodating. Splattered paint on a portion of our patio and sill appeared to be their only misstep.

In the end, we have a job that met our expectations in terms of quality, fit and finish. It was the punch list of several small items and requests which was emailed to Scott in mid-June that made the final conclusion of the project a little rocky. It turned out that part of the roof over our den did not receive adequate flashing necessary to prevent a leak that ensued after five days of rain. Scott insisted that it was the result of layers of caulk installed by someone else, inadequately sealing an inside corner of the roof. Dan, who was sent out later to make the repair, said the caulk and sealing had been done by their siders, and was still wet. Scott agreed to place a drywall patch in the interior ceiling where there was water damage, but I spent the better part of a day painting the ceiling, trim and walls to original condition once this was done. This put a damper on an otherwise great experience with Watry.

We totally respect Watry's workers and the diligence they exemplified every day. My feelings about Scott with him not taking ownership of the leak and the damage it caused was unfortunate because it would have been so easy to simply do so without casting blame on others. I also feel it would have been appropriate to personally stop by at the project's conclusion (today), to ensure he had a satisfied customer. As it was, he called and asked me to give a check for final payment to his worker before he left, without asking me if I was completely satisfied. In my view, the size and scope of our project would dictate that he do so.

However, I would not be hesitant to recommend them as a reference primarily because of his crews.

"We are real happy with them. He doesn't advertise, it is all word of mouth. He is very good.
It was a year long project, from July to July. There was a lot of work done. It was a fair price. It wasn't the most expensive, it wasn't the cheapest, it was fair. You get what you pay for.
They sided the garage, they sided the shed, they sided the house, they installed windows, they installed doors. They did some fabrication work. They closed up windows that we didn't want and doors that we didn't want. They worked with us, if we could buy the materials cheaper. We bought certain things, they bought certain things. They were real workable. They gave us their advice. They listened to the customer and what the customer really wanted. He came out numerous times over that year and  he broke the job down into sections. So, like, the shed was so much and the garage was so much and the house was so much. He'd come out and sit down and have coffee with us and say, okay, this section is going to be this much, I need half down and when the job was down he would come and get his money. He was very prompt about that. Very much on top of it all, anything that we didn't think was right, they fixed. If they were going to do it one way and I didn't think it was right, Mike would come out and say, you know you're right. A lot of guys just come and slap the siding on. they did a lot of extra work before you get to the siding part where the owner wouldn't notice but 15 years from now, you'd notice. I'm real happy with him and his workers. He does subcontract the door installation because he has a guy that is very meticulous about doors. We had a dutch door put in. This guy specializes in putting in doors, that's all he does. It took him three days to install the door but it's perfect. Mike pays this guy per door, so it doesn't matter if it takes him a day or three days but he is very good at what he does.
We went around to look at Mike's work. He gave us addresses and we went around to look and talk with people that had his work and they were real happy with him."

FAQs for batt, rolled or reflective insulation install or upgrade projects in Poynette, WI

Batt insulation excels in vertical installations because it remains firmly in place and delivers consistent thermal performance. Blown-in insulation performs exceptionally in spaces such as attics, efficiently filling gaps in irregular areas.

Employing both insulation types according to their strengths enhances your home’s overall energy efficiency and comfort by providing a tailored solution for every space.

Start by measuring the square footage of the space, then match that area with the insulation thickness you need to hit your target R-value. Add a buffer for waste and odd-shaped spots so every cavity is covered.

Once you have a rough count, run it past a local insulation pro—their on-site advice will fine-tune the numbers and help you avoid costly miscalculations.

Old insulation that is dry, intact, and mold-free does not require removal before adding new insulation; stacking new insulation over it maintains effective thermal performance and boosts energy efficiency.

If the insulation is damp, moldy, or deteriorated, removal is necessary to eliminate health risks and ensure maximum effectiveness of the new layer. A professional insulation contractor will assess your situation and recommend the most effective solution.

Installing insulation in an average-sized home using batts or boards requires five to 12 hours. Using spray foam or blown-in insulation requires two to five hours. These timeframes are determined by the area’s size, accessibility, and whether old insulation must be removed.

Complex projects and hard-to-reach spaces demand extra time. Hiring an experienced insulation professional ensures that the installation is completed efficiently and correctly.

Insulation is measured by R-value, which defines how effectively it resists heat flow. A higher R-value provides superior thermal resistance, ensuring your home remains warm in winter and cool in summer.

Choosing the correct R-value is essential for maximizing energy efficiency and comfort, and it directly impacts long-term utility savings. Professional guidance determines the optimal R-value for your specific climate.
