"Josh, the serviceman from A1 Garage Door, was on time, did a complete inspection of both garage doors, found the problem, serviced completely both doors and within a few hours . He explained everything he did, and reprogrammed our garage openers. We were very happy with this entire process."

"Service was performed, tried to sell me a new garage door. Did sell me a garage door opener for $50 which is $15 over normal cost, but saved me a trip to Home Depot."

"Very, very early on a Wednesday morning (2am), one of the coils on our garage door snapped when my husband pressed the button to raise the door.   <br /> Later that morning, we called several highly rated garage door repair places (found on Angie's List, of course), and Neumann High Country Door was the only one available to come out that day (or even that week!). <br /> Two gentlemen arrived later that day and clamped the broken coil for us until the coils could be replaced on the 24th.  They did not charge us anything for their time or for the clamp.  Unlike other companies with 24 hour emergency services, they did not charge us anything for an emergency call, either. <br /> Mike came out on the 24th and replaced both coils, lubed the whole system, and even replaced the split seal.  He completed the job in about an hour.  He thoroughly tested the system to make sure the coils held proper tension. <br /> My husband and I are pleased as punch with the expeditiousness, professionalism, and quality of work performed by Neumann High Country Door.  We will definitely call them again for any of our garage door needs! <br />"

"Because this happened on a Friday night, everyone was closed. I sent out emails to three different companies and was surprised to hear from F&J within 10 minutes. They were immediately empathetic and told us that they'd be out the next day to fix it. She gave us a great quote over the phone so that we knew what to expect. The next day, they stayed in touch so that we knew when to expect Fernando. Upon his arrival, he was friendly, courteous and professional. He finished quickly and inspected the rest of the garage door for safety and maintenance. We can't thank F&J for responding and fixing so quickly..., the other companies still haven't called us back. You're amazing!!"

"Mike and his son, Mike Jr., did a terrific job installing the new garage door opener, which I had previously purchased. MIke also included general servicing of the garage door, especially oiling moving parts. Mike took the time to explain patiently and carefully how to use the door opener. He answered all my questions and worked very efficiently. Mike gave me the best quote on my Angie's List job inquiry for garage door installation, and I am very satisfied with his work and with his attention to detail. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing help with their garage door."

"I ordered a garage door in May of 2015 submitting half down. Steve, the manager, was both knowledgeable and pleasant, important attributes when making an expensive purchase. He noted that both the garage and the room above it would be much warmer with an R19 door. I had hoped to order a Liftmaster belt system opener, but the manager noted he had difficulty in securing those from his supplier and recommended a Linear. However, Consumer Reports and my husband, a mechanic, both recommended a Liftmaster system because it is quieter and can be connected to your smart phone. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Paul installed the beautiful, new garage door, but there were gaps on both sides of the door where bugs or wind could enter. Paul attempted, but was not successful in installing the new opener because the rail was too long. I was worried about the old Genie system being able to lift the new door, but Paul thought it would be okay. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />I called Steve and he very cordially drove over the next day to fill the gaps. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Steve was correct. The garage is much warmer as is the room above it. My purchase was a wise investment that added curb appeal. The window design adds much needed light in the garage when working on projects. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Unfortunately, the old Genie system broke in December. See my other review for the rest of the story. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Recommendations: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1. Keep Liftmaster in stock. <br /> <br />2. Match Home Depot prices. Home Depot's installers are from Payson. <br /> <br /> I try to buy local to support my city's businessmen. <br /> <br />3. Train Paul in how to install and adjust garage door openers."

FAQs for garage door installation and replacement projects in Prescott, AZ

Yes, you can replace just one panel if your door is sectional and the damaged panel is available. Most modern residential garage doors have four to six horizontal panels that can be individually replaced. However, finding an exact match becomes challenging for older doors or discontinued styles. For doors over 15 to 20 years old or with multiple damaged panels, a complete door replacement might be more practical and visually consistent.

Minor dents or cosmetic damage can often be repaired without replacing the entire panel, potentially saving you money. However, if the damage affects the door's operation, security, or structural integrity, replacement is often a better investment.

For extensive damage to multiple panels or older doors where matching is difficult, full door replacement might be more economical in the long run than multiple individual panel replacements.

Your garage door panel might be repairable if the damage is superficial and doesn't affect functionality. Small dents in aluminum panels, minor scratches, or cosmetic issues often don't require full replacement. However, replacement is often necessary if the panel is warped, has large holes, shows extensive rust, or affects how the door operates. A professional garage door technician can evaluate the damage and recommend whether repair or replacement offers the best value and durability.
