"Allied Electric installed some Patio heaters for me, which also required upgrades to my electric panel. The entire process went smoothly and quickly - about a week from first engagement to job completion, and that included local permitting (which Allied managed) around the holiday weekend. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and knowledgeable, from Amber in the office, to Marioâ s inspection and quote, to Luisâ and Codyâ s installation. We are really enjoying being able to use our patio in the wintertime- Many thanks to the friendly Proâ s at Allied Electric!"

"Dakota was a very professional and knowledgeable person. His previous visit he detected a broken GFI outlet and because of the major appliances I have he recommended a surge protector on my electrical panel. Thatâ s the work he did today. He is efficient and very nice to work with. ð"

"I highly recommend Denny s Electric. Hired to remove 5 baseboard heaters & associated circuit breakers/wiring, and to correct a faulty outdoor GFCI Circuit. I watched (and assisted) Denny throughout the repairs and found him to be an honest straight-shooter who doesn t take shortcuts, and is meticulous in his work. I will recommend him to family, friends, anyone needing electrical work."

Small jobs welcome

"I love this company.  The work done is by the job and not by the hour.  Therefore, the cost of the services provided were less than I anticipated.  The provider was prompt and efficient.  Dillon was very personable and courteous.  He asked questions of me to ensure I received what I wanted making sure I would be satisfied with the end result. Dillon put up two new sconces which required he go into the attic and he added three new outlets in other rooms.  When he finished he cleaned everything up and replaced items that had been moved.  I would highly recommend this company again and again. So HAPPY!  <br />"

FAQs for electrical switches, outlets & fixtures install or repair projects in Prescott Valley, AZ

To select and hire an electrician for your light switch installation, start by evaluating candidates as you would for any skilled position. Ask detailed questions, request a written quote, and verify their licensing credentials. This careful screening prevents unexpected fees and ensures every aspect of the installation, including any drywall repairs, complies with code.

A light switch can malfunction due to compromised wiring or overheating conditions. Faulty connections and excess heat diminish the switch’s performance. If you hear crackling, popping, or hissing sounds when toggling the switch, this indicates active electrical faults that pose a safety hazard and demand immediate professional inspection. Prompt attention prevents further damage and ensures reliable operation.

Installing a light switch takes 30 minutes or less, on average. The installation time depends on the switch type, with dimmer switches requiring additional time compared to standard on-off switches. While the hardware replacement might be completed in 15 minutes, it's essential to adhere to safety protocols, like turning off the circuit breaker and verifying there's no power, for a safe and code-compliant installation.
