"The technician finished another job early and called and asked if he could come by early. Not an issue and he arrived, reviewed the wiring on the two switches installed by the builder. They were not properly wired and he stated that this type of wiring is no longer performed this way, and he was able to fix them quickly. Since I am an advanced DIY'er he educated me on the old switches that I was trying to replace and actually gave me a diagram on how 3-way switches operated. Thanks for the work and the education."

"They ran electric from the house to the garage; installed an outlet in garage, a security light and switch. Then they ran a wire for a front porch light, installed a plug, and another outlet. They are very knowledgeable, and all the work was done professionally. I do suggest to ensure everything you want is on the bid or it will not get done (my rookie mistake). I had them come out another time to complete the things I forgot to add."

"Every time I open my refrigerator door, or use the remote to turn on the overhead light, or see that the motion sensor flood lights are working in the backyard, I give thanks. LJ I came out and did the work. They were so very nice and did everything just right. Will hire them again"

"Devon from Mister Sparky did an outstanding job installing our Tesla wall chargers! He was professional, efficient, and clearly experienced. The whole process was smooth, and the quality of his work was excellent. The service was completed quickly, and Mister Sparky had the best price out of all the quotes we received. Highly recommend this company—and Devon—for any electrical work, especially EV charger installations!"

Small jobs welcome

"Nate Medford conducted our electrical inspection offered by the Awesome Club Membership Program. Nate didn't just inspect, he explained. He also didn't just explain, he corrected issues along the way. Today he brought our subpanel up to code and prevented a probable electrical fire. In addition, Nate spent lengthy time on the phone with me last week, giving clear guidance on LED fixtures to replace our florescent lighting. With Matthew's help, today the 6 light fixtures were replaced, a necessary wireless carbon detector and GFCI outlet installed, and for fun and convenience, 2 USB outlets given. Special note: the GFCI outlet wasn’t a simple swap-out. Nate had to cut into the trim for that installation, which he did incredibly cleanly and precisely. Upon completion, the work areas were cleared of trash and left in great condition. Thank you so much for all your work, your attention to detail, for caring."

He was professional, friendly, and did outstanding work. He quickly fixed the issue, and I’m extremely pleased with both the quality of the repair and his customer service. "☆☆☆☆☆ dream team COMPANY! I had most contact with Julian throughout the job, but his partner and Electrician were JUST AS NICE. They had cloths on my floors, as they were in and out of my crawl space. They even left to get a particular component, specific for my install. No damage to home. There was no laughing or joking around. They were concentrated on install, measuring, calculating out loud between the three of them. No cussing or profanity, either. Julian was professional and explained everything to me, including why manual was left on unit, so when inspector came, it was there, as it couldn't be signed off without it. Thermostat looks great! He also knew a lot about furnaces, which is my next thing. *Beware of companies won't give you prices on ANYTHING and/or charge you estimate to come to your house... Another reason I picked PEAK HOME was their receptionists! Sweetest, most understanding ladies! If you need to install A/C, go with this company - definitely recommend!"

"Jonathan listened to my explanation of the problem. He then started at the main panel and discovered a problem at the other end of the house and fixed it. He then found another problem at the at the outlet in question. He fixed both problems and installed new GFCI outlets. He was very professional in his work and obviously knew his subject very well."

FAQs for electrical switches, outlets & fixtures install or repair projects in Pueblo, CO

To select and hire an electrician for your light switch installation, start by evaluating candidates as you would for any skilled position. Ask detailed questions, request a written quote, and verify their licensing credentials. This careful screening prevents unexpected fees and ensures every aspect of the installation, including any drywall repairs, complies with code.

A light switch can malfunction due to compromised wiring or overheating conditions. Faulty connections and excess heat diminish the switch’s performance. If you hear crackling, popping, or hissing sounds when toggling the switch, this indicates active electrical faults that pose a safety hazard and demand immediate professional inspection. Prompt attention prevents further damage and ensures reliable operation.

Installing a light switch takes 30 minutes or less, on average. The installation time depends on the switch type, with dimmer switches requiring additional time compared to standard on-off switches. While the hardware replacement might be completed in 15 minutes, it's essential to adhere to safety protocols, like turning off the circuit breaker and verifying there's no power, for a safe and code-compliant installation.
