Our front steps were unevenly spaced with an almost 10" drop to the first step.  Mr. Langhorne explained how they would bring the steps into code and keep them from separating from the porch again.  His sons arrived on time and completed the job in one day as promised.  Something that was not planned for, but turned out to be unavoidable was the fact that the railing needed to be removed, as the angle was now wrong.  Not to worry a call was made to a guy who could assist with the iron work to replace the hand rail.

Caution tape was posted around the steps so no one would walk in wet concrete.  They not only cleaned up our yard but also replaced the grass divots removed before the steps were poured.  We are very satisfied with the work and will definitely use Langhorne Concrete services in the future.

"The old drain was removed and a 12" X 12" X 12" box drain was installed with a 4" diameter pipe to my inside the house sump pump.  This replaced a poorly installed 1-1/2" drain installed by the builder. In the past, water would enter the basement over the sill of the basement door because the old drain couldn't keep up with the water. The new drain just got it's baptism by ordeal with the 6+ inches of rain that fell recently and not a drop of water came in the house!

"Jacob arrived promptly. We live in an older home and have a cast iron pipe that runs to the main drain area in the court. We had similar situation 12/2019. Industrial snake used and what was pulled out was heavy utility towels that we determined had been stupidly flushed down by contractors that had done work in the home. It was suggested at that time to send a camera down to be sure no other issue, but we thought we were okay after seeing the utility towles removed, water was running freely through the drain in the basement. Well, part II, we're here again 8/2020. This time clog closest to basement drain freed up quickly. Jacob suggested most efficient way is to perform a jet wash blowing any remaining debris further out from the house out of the pipe into the main drain area in the court and sending camera down to see what's up. We agreed. Camera pictures revealed scale throughout cast iron pipe with largest amount of buildup further away from the property just as pipe neared main drain area in the court. Descaling will be completed tomorrow. Could have been worse. Thankfully no tree roots or pipe fracture. The Pipe Doctor's jet wash price best compared to other plumbing companies neaby and overall cost is competitive. Although we have the descaling yet to be performed, I have no doubt based on previous performance and today's performance/outcome there will be no need for me to alter this evaluation. "I contacted them via phone and left a message describing the job I wanted done . They phoned me a couple of days later and asked about the size of the tree and the location so they would know
what tools were needed. They said that sometimes they need to use the truck to pull the roots up. I gave them a description of the tree and its location and they quoted me a price of $210 over the phone. I sent them a picture via my iphone of the tree and the road in front of my house. They reviewed the picture and said they could do the job. I really appreciated discussing the job with them on the phone as another company I called did not.They said they could do it the next day in the late morning and I told them to come on out! They arrived at my house around 10 am and they were able to make quick work of the job. They  first cut the tree down with a chain saw and then dug the roots out with a pick axe and did not have to use the truck.They didn't damage any of the surrounding plants in my flower  bed. They also dumped some topsoil I had bought into the hole left by the roots. They took all debris with them and cleaned up my sidewalk afterward. They were very friendly and efficient. They did a great job!
