"Beyond my expectations! The old door was condensing inside and out, we knew there would be extensive damage to the wood framing and floor area beneath. It was worse than I expected. Mike installed the new door, created a way for our pet door to fit while still being able to LOCK the slider! Over three days - the tear out, purchasing of many materials, repairing the frame, installing the new door, repainting/restoring the interior and exterior to BETTER than they previously appeared, and rigging that new and improved pet door - he worked diligently. "Our 2.5 ton upstairs A/C was leaking coolant, so we opted to replace it. Since downstairs unit is a Carrier, we picked Pope's to bid for the job, as they were listed by Carrier, had good marks on Angie's list, and were locally owned. Pope's Air responded the same day we called, and Tim Stewart came in the afternoon, and spent over an hour describing our options and costs. We received a competitive bid, and selected Pope's Air for the work. Our previous supplier had replaced our downstairs unit a couple of years back, and had put in a unit which stressed our ductwork, causing a whistle when loaded. Pope's Air volunteered to have a look at that problem, too, included at no charge. Pope's Air scheduled and came on time the following week. It took a day to do the work, and the installers were clean and professional. They came up with an inexpensive fix in the cold air return ducting, and implemented it. No more whistle. In the upstairs unit, they discovered some crushed ductwork which our previous supplier had ignored and replaced about 20' of ducts, all for a very reasonable upcharge. The A/C works fine, w/ a better airflow, and they will return for an inspection once the weather warms enough to exercise the unit. We plan to use Pope's Air for all of our Heating and A/C needs in the future. Highly recommended."

"Terrible (but good!). The terrible part was making multiple phone calls over a two month period but never getting a call back to get an estimate and scheduling an appointment. Finally, called and got the owner, David. He was very negative and admitted that to me when he called back to apologize. Of course there not everything has a 100% guarantee in life, but all I want was a similar antenna installed like the first one 10 years ago pointing in the same directions to cover sets in my kitchen/DR. The original one has worked well (95% of the time) picking up not only line-of-site PBS stations in Washington (Weta and WHUT), but also the outstanding MPT channels from Annapolis. The "Good" outcome was that I tried an extra indoor antenna that I had in storage and hung up on a pendant lamp hanging 10-12 feet' in my kitchen, and then pointing it in the same direction as the one on the chimney using a compass on a CP app and fine tuning with MPT. The Annapolis station comes in clearly, plus dozens of the usual broadcast channels. Problem solved in less than 2 hrs with a little ingenuity and using my outdoor extension ladder indoors, some white cable, white duct tape and white cable hangers. It is sad the the nation's capital does not have any competition in this business."
