"We inherited a hazardous mess when when we bought our home a couple of years ago - 120 year old brick chimney with a huge hole in the base of the stack, crumbling bricks, mortar completely gone in places, fireplace floor missing, liner rusted through. Several masons looked at it and told us to tear it down, so we decided to call chimney specialists. We got three bids, all of which were actually about the same price, but ONLY Al and his crew from Always Affordable got up on the roof to fully inspect the chimney before quoting the job (the others were just guessing at the condition of the liner/interior). They had the best plan for safely repairing the stack and answered all of my questions, and Michelle in the office was great about scheduling and keeping everything organized. Al and his crew were super prompt, very efficient and INCREDIBLY neat. They finished a huge job in less than two days and left my home and basement MUCH cleaner than they found it - they even vacuumed the basement stairs! The fireplace looks great and the stack is now solid as a rock. They even did a few extra tasks while they were on the roof, including adding a cap to our sewer vents and tarring a couple of problem spots, no charge. Really awesome company all the way around. They will be our first call for any future chimney work!"

"I had an appointment on Saturday, November 17, 2018, however when they arrived they did not have the correct chimney caps in the truck. We had to reschedule for Monday to accommodate my schedule. On Monday, they came ready to install the chimney caps, which they did a very professional job. There was no bait and switch with the price original quoted. They took pride in their work. "We were hesitant to go with Chimney Savers mainly because of the price - it was thousands more than the nearest competitive bid.  However, in retrospect, we made the right call. <br /> We have a chimney with two fireplaces, one on each floor. The flues were in bad shape when we moved in, which we knew from the home inspection, but we didn't know how bad. 2 of the contractors that we had come in admitted that they couldn't even do the job.  Another could do it, but it would involve removing large sections of the existing chimney, indoors, and replacing with new bricks - we didn't feel like we wanted to go that route. <br /> Mark came in and explained how he would get the job done without destroying existing bricks. It was obvious from the start that he knew what he was doing, and the only hang-up I had was the price. "Total Chimney installed a new stainless steel cap over my three flue chimney. An initial misunderstanding about price was quickly and fairly resolved with the owner. The three crews which came to my house were all very professional, although the lead tech at the first visit did not measure, so the special order cap did not fit and a second one had to be ordered. During the whole process, my phone calls to the office were quickly returned and communication was excellent. I am very pleased with how everything was handled and recommend Total Chimney."

"We have an Ash Pit. Before I purchased the deal, I called the company to confirm that they would clean it out as part of the deal. At first look, one of the workers thought it was impossible to deal with because of proximity to boiler. The other worker, who already did a thorough cleaning of my fireplace, offered to get to it from the fireplace and clean it from top down. This required a lot of time, and Ryan did an excellent job. I was happy with both of their work. While Ryan went beyond the call in my estimation. I'll use them again."
