"Moises and Edward and the crew did a repair of my facia. They told me to get PVC so it would last longer. They also repaired cracked walls and ceiling and painted. They did perfect work. Did so good I kept finding more work for them because it looked so good. They are so polite and respectful and right on time. Also they are very fair with their prices and don't push for or more work. I now consider them friends. Don't waste you're time because you won't beat their prices. They can do anything too. Bathroom, kitchen, floors. I will hire them again they are the best."

"Highly recommended! If you need a professional who works quickly and is incredibly nice, Rati is the one to call. We had carpets in three rooms that caused issues due to my baby girlâ s dust allergy. While we were out of town, Rati transformed our space by replacing the carpets. He treated our home with great care and demonstrated impressive skills throughout the process. We are very grateful for his exceptional work and will definitely seek his help for future projects!"

"Several years ago my husband and I discovered Progress through Angie's List. Ivan and Roman completed several jobs within our home (custom shelving, TV mounting, drywall ,painting etc...). Recently we were interested in remodeling the exterior wall of our home to include a brick surface. We consulted several professional bricklayers and masonry experts to perform the work. We experienced unrealistic estimates, no collaboration for design ideas and unreliable references. We remembered Progress and our great experience with him in the past and contacted them. Honestly, we were not very hopeful that they would be able to do the work as I always consider brickwork to be specialized. Within an hour of reaching out to Roman and Ivan, they responded with photos of Brick work they had recently completed. I was able to send them rough measurements for an estimate and they quickly replied. Bottom line, these guys are amazing!. I will describe our experience in a list form; 1. Pricing for materials and labor was fair and accurate. 2. Progress has very high standards and they take great pride in their work, with wonder results. 3 setup and cleanup is done without disrupting your household. 4. Excellent time management. They stick to their schedule, and work is completed when promised. 5. Receipts have been provided for all materials purchased. 6 very professional friendly and approachable. 7 collaboration for design ideas that worked with our budget . 8 No hesitation to call them FIRST, THE next time we need work to be done in our home. P.S. during our project we decided to add a cement element. Progress suggested we extend the work by a few feet to prevent leaks. This was honest advice as we have been told the same thing by other construction professionals in the past. They offered advice for the sole purpose of saving us the heartache of future damage. Don't waste time planning home repairs or modifications with another company. Go straight to Progress! Very satisfied customers, The Sammon Family Maspeth New York"

"bob was totally involved from written estimates,to all the work explained above. his roofer, electricians, plumber, his demo and installation crew(carpenters) were clean, very skilled and professional, they left our house totally clean after each day. Bob was very good at sealing off our other rooms from dust and debris, very important when pets are involved. A great job, really professional for quality work at a very competetive price with no hidden or surprize costs.any questions with materials, design,or scheduling were totally discussed before implementing,"

"Asher was so exceptionally easy to work with. When presented with the problem in our wall, he knew exactly what he would need to do, which materials it would require, how long it would take him and he gave a very reasonable quote. He was able to come and make the repair only two days after initial contact. He was courteous with my tenant and respectful of her space and time. The quality of the work is excellent and I have no doubt that this issue will not be a recurring one. I will gladly hire Asher again for any small or large repair our apartment might need."

FAQs for shed, barn or playhouse repair projects in Queens Village, NY

You’ll know it’s time for a new shed roof if shingles curl or buckle, soft spots sag, or water stains appear inside. Moss or other plant growth on the surface is another red flag that moisture has breached the roofing layers. Replacing the roof quickly stops leaks from spreading, protects stored items, and saves you from costlier structural repairs down the road.

Choosing between a flat and a sloped shed roof comes down to climate, budget, and upkeep. A flat roof is cheaper up front, but still needs a slight pitch for drainage. A sloped roof sheds rain and snow more easily, lasts longer, and often needs less maintenance. Weigh your local weather patterns, the look you want, and how much time you’re willing to spend on upkeep before deciding.

A shed roof’s life span hinges on the material you choose and how well you maintain it. Most standard products last 15 to 30 years, while premium picks like slate or clay tile can protect the structure for 50 to 100 years. Regular inspections, fast fixes, and routine cleaning all help you reach the upper end of those ranges and keep your tools and gear dry year-round.
