"Kurt (Distinct Landscapes) performed an exception makeover to our property. We have owned our home for 20 years, with an eye on a landscape design to the house front - that pops. What we inherited were azaleas and christmas trees that continued to grow more expansive over the years. I provided Kurt with my budget and blessing to take the necessary design/purchase/installation steps necessary to dazzle. He did not disappoint! Kurt was a joy to work with, paying several visits to our property to discuss proposed layout and educate newcomers concerning the finer points of horticulture - in laymen's terms. He was extremely responsive to preferences and concerns and made several modifications of his own - before installation date. What a makeover - Korean Boxwoods, Dward Red Barberries, Goldmound Spireas, Nandina Domestica, Chery Laurels Knockout Roses, A Purple Crape Myrtle and Dragon Lady Holly species ... to name a few. Kurt did not overcrowd the design, but allowed sufficient spacing for future growth ... definitely planning for the longer range investment. With his selection, he also ensured more diverse colors over a greater portion of the calendar year. "They are very good. They cut the grass last Monday. We used them regularly. The approximate cost of service I think it was $43 a week. That's for the lawn timing and that's once a week when it is needed. The other thing they do is they fertilize the yard and seed it and then before they do that they spray the weeds and then just about a little less than a month ago they cleaned the yard, the leaves and twigs that are fallen and stuff and like that. We used them for everything yard work. It's kinda like a process then they do kind of everything and the sum result cut the lawn and things like that. They are very professional. They are always on time. I wish it cost a little less but I think that's the way it goes with lawn care. It's really a good job so pretty satisfied with everything. The quality of work is very good. They are very good because they have those blower things so the driveway is always clean. They do the edging and then driveway is always because they blow any grass away so it's always neat. I pay $43 a week whenever they cut the grass. Now, if we did find that they don't need to cut it, it's raining or whatever they have to charge for that so we will be charged and actually cut it. It does add up if you don't think it does but it does add up after the end of the month. They bill you monthly. Yes, I think this is our third season with them."

While making my decision, Mr. Ireland answered many phone calls and emails regarding the proposed work and provided me with a reference so I could see his work first hand. "Ben and his crew carefully removed the top of our tree  from among the phone wires, cut the trunk down, chipped and removed all of the wood, ground the stump and the massive roots that ran along the surface of the lawn, raked the area clean, graded the lawn with top soil, put down grass seed and straw, and gave us three round slices of a large branch as souvenirs. They left the area completely clean and finished. We loved our tree, but it had to go. Some of our neighbors came out to watch the fun, and requested some work for their own yards. Ben and his crew were very accommodating. They are professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. Working with them was the best."
