"I bought a 1983 townhouse that needed updating.  I got three estimates.  Although the estimate from Almaden was a little higher, I went with them because of my first impression over the phone.  When I spoke to Dan, the owner, to make an appointment, he told me <br /> right away that they did everything to city code.  With the other two companies, I was asked if I wanted it to be to code.  That raised a red flag with me in both cases.   <br />      My first appointment with Dan went well.  He listened to what I wanted, offered suggestions, and said what was and wasn't possible.  He said he'd have drawings and an estimate for me in a couple of days, but it turned out to be only a couple of hours!  I went to his <br /> store that afternoon, looked at samples, and got the estimate.  I was so impressed by his promptness. <br />      Once I gave him the job, they were able to start the next day (which obviously doesn't always happen).  I wasn't living in the place yet, but every time I went over to check it, the guys were hard at work.  They were very careful about keeping things clean, even though I didn't have anything moved in.  All his workers were friendly and professional. <br />      The biggest waiting time was on the cabinets, which were coming from Oregon.  There were problems with two different delivery trucks, but they still managed to get the cabinets in and the countertops on before my moving day came.  Everything looks wonderful, and I LOVE my new kitchen cabinets!  They are beautiful, made of sustainable wood, and the soft-close doors are great (and standard). <br />      Dan also did a great job with my master bath.  They had to remove old, ugly tile from the shower and I chose to replace it with Corian.  It looks fantastic, and is so easy to keep clean! <br />     All in all, I had a very satisfying experience with Dan and his people.  I would certainly recommend him to anyone. <br />"

He provided quality workmanship and responsive customer service. <br /> <br />I'm very picky and detailed oriented and he met my, very high expectations. I requested some changes to the typical Shaker-style and he easily went along with and provided all the changes. "We did a kitchen remodel & the cabinets were (unfortunately) of inferior quality & the initial installation was done very poorly (cabinets installed crooked, doors crooked, the product itself although theoreticaly "finished" looked unfinished). Alberto spared no effort to very detailed work adding trim, straightening the doors, reinstalling a particularly problematic corner door. He really made the best out of a bad situation (it turns out that if the initial instalation is screwed up, there si only so much you can do to remedy it - but Alberto did it & we were pleased). It is worth mentioning that we had three other handymen performng various work on these cabinets & on other matters, and Alberto was by far the best. I should also mention that Alberto also noticed other unrelated minor issues (e.g., faulty installation of a gargbage disposal) & corrected them as well. His rate is $150/hour & while that is more than most, we think he is worth it."
