"The results are amazing. The play pad in the back he built for the kids is perfect. The weed mat they put down under the mulch has worked very well. We get a few weeds and baby tree sprouts here and there but they are easy to pick out. The pad is under a giagantic tulip poplar and the tree just spreads seeds everywhere. It is no surprise to find them sprouting in the mulch. They take over my gardens every Spring. The stone pad he put up front is perfect for the job. We have a very limited budget and income and he went through and priced out the best supplies for the job with our budget in mind. There were even stones left over from the project and he left them for us to use later or in other places. He wanted to make sure we got every supply we paid for. This Summer I asked him to do a section of our backyard that is grown up with weeds and ivy. He heard my concept and then as if he was a mind reader made it look exactly as my husband and I had envisioned. The mulched area is bordered with beautiful stones and matches the rest of our backyard decor. Additionally he added a 2 foot border of mulch around our above ground metal pole frame pool. It finished off the look of the yard. Before the pool was just hanging out looking all crooked and sloppy, but now it has a polished look. Just yesterday I contacted him again to come back for an estimate on expanding the mulched area in the back corner because it looks so awesome and my husband and I were immediately inspired to add some other spaces for a geodesic dome we are installing as well as a seating area for guests. He even moved the swingset they'd put on the mulch play pad last Summer because my kids had gotten so big their feet were hitting the fence behind them. Kyle is a professional in all senses. His prices are incredible, turn around time is fast, he and his crew are impeccable. There is not a single scrap in the yard when they leave. I left for the day last week and came home to a beautiful yard!!!"

Weed barrier put down and covered with mulch so I can put large pots on top. I wanted flowers without weeding. Donta understood what I wanted. He and his team did a wonderful job!!!! He came and priced it one day and started the next day. Two days of HARD work and job completed. They removed a 14 foot truck full of weeds, bushes, roots and unwanted plants. They responded quickly and provided a quote to replace a failing retaining wall and gave us options to rehab 2 patio areas full of rotting boards. As part of the work on the retaining wall, it became evident that our porch was a safety hazard and needed to be replaced. SBC immediately shored up the porch, and Steve worked with us to re-do the designs and reallocate materials to rebuild our porch, rehab the patios and keep the costs reasonable, including going the extra mile to get certified so that we could maintain the warrant on our roof. "Distinctive Landscaping did a major project behind our house that completely changed the looks of the back yard. We had lived in the house for 32 years and this was a project I had thought about many times, but I had to find the right landscape designer to implement it. Kurt was that person. He listened to my vision and came up with a design which was modified several times until it was ready to go. The area behind the house had erosion problems and he planned a retaining wall that solved this and flowed into a walkway that curved behind the porch and deck. Kurt dropped off samples of stone pavers in different colors and we are very happy with the choice we made. The work began in December, 2017, then had to be delayed because the ground was frozen to a greater depth than in most winters. When the elements allowed work resumed. The crew was exceptional, not hurrying, but doing precision work. We were so pleased that we decided to redo our 22 year old flagstone patio using the same stone pavers. Shrubs were added along part of the walkway. Four shrubs were also planted in the front yard. The work spanned almost three months (mostly due to weather related interruptions) and by Spring, the back yard had a whole new look with a walkway and patio that we could use and enjoy."
