"On time, brought all tools he needed, and fixed my back door. I thought I would have to replace both doors. He did an excellent repair, doors back to normal. Plan to hire again for other jobs."

"They quickly assessed the situation, gave a reasonable quote, and were very proficient and professional. My condo unit was under contract and a water leak caused by another unit needed to be repaired asap and they did it. Also kept me well informed."

"From the initial contact, Nathalie and Misha took care of all my concerns and were quick to respond to my many emails with various questions about process, pricing, and procedure. They got me on the schedule quickly and without issue. Meanwhile, the folks they sent out to do the screens, Dillon and Nic, are consummate professionals. They came and took measurements, they asked if I would prefer they mask up (this has not been a common thing with contractors we've had out for other reasons, so this was an especially thoughtful and meaningful touch), and they were in and out in less than three hours. They were particularly mindful of our cats, escape artists that they usually are. I had initially declined to have the screen door locks installed because apparently I had underestimated my cats, but when we discovered the cats figured out how to open the screen doors, a quick email to Screenman and they were quick to come back out and put them in. We had no screens when we started and now we don't have to use our air conditioner on account of the crossbreeze. The money we're saving on electrical shows an immediate benefit to our quality of life, and the cats now have windows they can lay in without us having to worry whether they'll escape to god-only-knows. I cannot begin to emphasize enough how worth it the whole process was, start to finish. As someone who works in customer service I can appreciate an "above and beyond" experience and it is absolutely impossible to emphasize how above and beyond this whole thing was. Five stars isn't even close to enough. If I could go ten or even fifteen I would! Thank you so much!"

"Jeff and the Windorco team are the best! This is the second time I've hired them to install doors and windows at my old Craftsman home and I'd hire them again in a heartbeat! Great service, communication, and attention to detail from initial consultation and measurement appointments through installation! I especially love my new storm door with hide-away screen."

"Moses, the owner was great. He is super knowledgable about window technology and all the latest options available.  He is an excellent communicator and explained everything thoroughly.  We had not known how easy it would be to remove the old  aluminum windows that were difficult to open and close and replace them with  spiffy new vinyl ones that were more energy efficient and opened smoothly.  They came with nice screens too. Installation took just a couple of hours.  Everything was clean and left no damage or dirt. A bonus was that Moses noticed that our chimney needed re-caulking, so he did that too - no charge. <br /> We had a short wait in order to get the exact color combination on the inside and outside that we wanted, but that was well worth it. <br />"

"We initially contacted Attila Musci at Cascade Window and Glass about replacing the glass in the slider window (both movable and stationary parts) above our kitchen sink in early December 2015. This was being done because we were remodeling our kitchen, i.e. replacing countertops and flooring. Based on our approximate measurements we received a quote and decided to go ahead with the project. While meeting with the tech designer for our kitchen remodel we discovered that once the new countertops were in place we would not be able to remove the kitchen window, so the window repair would need to be done before the countertop installation. This didn't seem to be a problem because we were told that the project probably wouldn't start for several months. When we found out that the project would begin much sooner than expected (to our delight!) , i.e. in the middle of January, we needed to move up the appointment date for Attila to measure the windows. When he came out he discovered that he couldn't remove the windows with the existing faucet in place, so we needed to coordinate the removal of the window glass with the demolition crew removing the old countertops and kitchen fixtures. After many phone calls everything was approved, and the date and time were set for Attila to remove the old window glass, put the new glass in the existing frames, and reinstall the windows -- with a very quick turn-around so as not to delay the demolition crew. Attila was great to work with -- he was willing to change and adapt his schedule as needed to accommodate the timeline for our kitchen remodel. He is very professional and really knows his business. This is the second time that we've worked with him, and will continue to do so as the need arises."

"<p>I contacted All Service glass in order to replace the glass panes on multiple windows where the seal had failed and the windows were foggy.  When they came out to measure the windows, I was informed that since I was the original homeowner, the particular brand of windows had a lifetime warranty and I could get the panes replaced under warranty.  (Something I had never been told by my builder or the many other glass companies who have replaced foggy panes over the years.)  By informing me of the warranty, All Service lost over $1000 in business; however, they gained a loyal customer.  They even sent me the contact information I needed to file the warranty claim.   I did at least order some glass for a shelving unit as well as new window screens.  If I need any glass items in the future, I guarantee I will purchase from All Service Glass. </p> <br />"

FAQs for door or window screens install or repair projects in Renton, WA

Most off-the-shelf screens come in fixed sizes, ranging from 18 inches by 20 inches to 36 inches by 74 inches, which fit the vast majority of residential windows. If your opening falls outside that range or has a unique shape, you’ll need a custom screen built to the exact measurements. Going custom ensures a secure fit, a solid barrier against bugs, and a clean, finished look.

The decision to repair or replace your screen depends on the extent of the damage. Small holes or tears in otherwise solid mesh can be patched, and a sturdy frame usually doesn’t need to go anywhere. However, once the frame is bent or the mesh is brittle and fraying in several spots, replacement becomes a more sensible option—and often proves to be less costly in the long run. Take a close look at both parts before making a decision.

To rescreen a window, start by prying out the old spline, then lift the torn mesh from the frame. Lay the new screen over the frame, allowing about an inch of excess on all sides, and hold it in place while pressing fresh spline into the groove with a roller. Check that the mesh is taut—many pros rest a small brick on it while they work—then trim the overhang with a utility knife.

Most window screens last for 10 to 12 years. Time, sun, and weather gradually make the mesh brittle, so you’ll start to see sagging, rips, or thinning spots that let bugs get through. Check the screens each season; if the mesh crumbles or the frame warps, it’s time to replace them to keep air flowing and pests outside.

Most pros can swap out a screen in 10 minutes to an hour. A quick pop‑in replacement goes fastest, while fitting new mesh into an existing frame or working on a hard‑to‑reach upper window adds time. Either way, plan for at least a few extra minutes per screen so the installer can verify the fit and ensure the spline is seated correctly.
