After a career in the elevator industry that included every aspect of commercial and residential elevators, our owner saw a tremendous need for an affordable option in the residential side of the elevator trade. "They were fine and installed the stairlift as soon as possible. I neglected to ascertain whether my mother would use it. As it turned out, she refused, so it was useless for my mother and now she is deceased. I am very happy with the lift and its performance. I use it on occasion. Also, be aware that it will limit the clearance on your stairway, so would be in the way of moving larger items upstairs unless they can be moved BY the lift. It is helpful for moving heavy or bulky items that will fit on the seat or foot platform."
