As it turned out, she refused, so it was useless for my mother and now she is deceased. I am very happy with the lift and its performance. I use it on occasion. Also, be aware that it will limit the clearance on your stairway, so would be in the way of moving larger items upstairs unless they can be moved BY the lift.
