"I contacted Smaller Deliveries to deliver 2 different sizes of gravel so I could rebase my driveway and add a smaller layer. This is the first time I've done a project like this. Mark was always responsive with phone calls. The first day, William brought the larger rock and gave me a helpful bit of pro advice which was spot on. He was able to do a great job spreading gravel with the truck. My driveway is circular and hilly. I had 2 loads and he made our day much less labor intensive. The second day, Mark brought the smaller rock, and also was an artist with his ability to get much of the gravel spread along the driveway. Both days were much less work and now I have a very nice gravel driveway. As a side note, I rented a plate compacter, and that is such a game changer for the end product. I will use Smaller Deliveries for future projects, they are friendly and provide great service."

"We have a small gravel backyard that reduced to a gross slurry of sharp rock and mud whenever it rained and resulted in a nasty, unusable area. We decided to install pavers to turn this into a usable space. We sought multiple quotes and even accepted one who flaked on us. We are fortunate that he did flake because it was then that we found Cary. Cary took far more time than that other contractors to research our needs and sit down and explain in exacting detail everything that he proposed. His professional and friendly manner put us at ease but honestly I was worried that Cary, clearly a step up from the others we’d talked to, would be crazy expensive. In fact, his bid was the lowest we’d received. Cary and team started work on time and in a few days had a beautiful finished product. He promised us that he would always return if we were unsatisfied with anything and he came through on this too. Our idiot dogs found a way to dig under the fence and hurl mud and stones all over Cary’s beautiful work. We told him about this and he promptly came back out and did another full day’s work, at his expense, to cap the areas our mischievous mutts mutilated. He even cleaned their mess after. If we ever need more paving work done, there is no question that we’ll call Cary back. We will also recommend him without hesitation to friends and family. Also, while not part of his official repertoire, the man is also a genius at calming rambunctious puppies. We’d hire him for that too if he ever takes that on as a line of work!"

Less than the big box stores. We decided on one kind and they pulled out those slabs for us to select the exact one we wanted. Excellent communication and punctuality from the templating appointment to the installation, always arriving about 5 minutes early in fact. "We went to look at some tile there. It's a commercial open to the public tile store there and the company that did the kitchen floor tile for us purchased the tile from them. We had been to several tile stores trying to pick out a floor tile. I don't remember the cost because it was part of the total package. They had a good selection. We had gone to several tile stores and it was just a matter of trying to find a tile that we liked the look of. It was just the matter of taste in terms of the fact that they happened to have a tile that we liked the looks of. It wasn't like when you go to buy a shirt or a piece of clothing or something. They were fine for a retail store. We didn't have to draw upon any expertise or service from them other than the fact that they had a showroom where we were able to pick out a tile that we liked. Our experience was average. They had a showroom and they had a lot of tile to look at and we found a tile that we liked. There wasn't anything especially challenging for them or for us. There was a wide range of tile and it was not like we found two places having the same tile. We just happened to find a tile that was within the range of what we were looking for."

"Great experiences each time I've used this company. It's really, really hard to get good people to do quality work in Seattle, and Steve Bodine is one of those people. He employs great workers, treats them well and holds on to them for years. He personally is a genuinely decent and nice guy as well. He has years and years of experience and I would trust him with all my drainage needs (that's saying something in Seattle). Bodine also did a fantastic job with my concrete driveway and walkways. I first hired Bodine almost 3 years ago to redirect my downspouts to a new drain field in my back yard. His crew did an amazing job. I was so pleased, I hired them to do some concrete work in my basement. Again, excellent work. Based on that, I then hired them to pour a new concrete driveway and walkway. Again, an incredible job. They really care about getting it right. Bodine does virtually all of their work based on referrals... and they are busy. But if you have a problem, they will take care of it immediately and other times, you just have to be a little patient knowing they're busy taking care of someone else's problems. It works both ways. They were very patient with me when I had to change dates to have my driveway poured due to other work going on at my house. I also want to mention Jim Cuba and Manny, who worked on my most recent project and were terrific."

"Rather a large project (started out at $20k and we added on some additional work for $10k more). Rotting railroad tie retaining walls (previous owner several decades earlier) removed and replaced with 2-3 man basalt rocks (300-800lb). Steps put also put into a retaining wall going to a patio. Large, well executed operation with the ability to put big rocks in tight places/structures. Estimate was on target along with communication/time expected. Work done August 2018 and is holding up like it was just installed."
