"I give PandA Restoration an A plus!! It was hard searching through all the typical companies that want to charge exorbitant rates, perform mediocre work, and don’t really care about the customer. I was happy to find PandA, which exceeded all expectations by far. Paul was the first person to email me, was in close contact with me daily, and went over and beyond to work with me on the price (which ended up being about half of what other contractors wanted). He was honest, hardworking, fair, and delivered outstanding results. From now on, I will be contacting PandA only for ALL of my home’s restoration and repair needs."

"David and his crew were really great to work with. David is friendly, helpful with painting suggestions, and very easy to communicate with. His crew did really high-quality work and kept our building impressively clean for a major painting project. David was also really flexible as I kept adding new tasks to their job. One example was a new drywall wall that a previous contractor left unfinished. David's crew sanded and textured the wall, and when the texturing didn't match perfectly with other walls, they sanded the entire wall down again and re-sprayed a different texture at no added cost. I also appreciated the final walk-through where David had his crew on standby to address anything I wasn't happy with, and he said if I found anything wrong down the road he would send someone out to make it right. We would definitely use this company again."

".I had removed most of the old rotten wooden railing (about 15 ft), leaving the 4x4 posts (still good).  One post had to be dug up and re-inserted as the railing rails only allowed for 6ft separation between posts and one post was at 77".  After this correction, the installation proceeded quickly.  <br /> As the installation was almost ending, I noticed that the crew had neglected to install some minor trim, which they did not think were necessary, but quickly added them. <br /> In my younger years, I was an avid DIYer, but felt that my skills had waned and that I did not have the necessary tools to properly install this railing system.  If I had been doing the job, I would have made one or two minor changes in the installation, but  the differences were not enough to reject the job. <br /> I was initially quoted a set amount for 2 men for 2 hours and then a cost per man per hour.  The men arrived at 9 am and were finished by noon.  When I spoke with Charles Rick to  establish the final cost, I was advised that he was charging me $250 for a 1/2 day job (slightly more than the previously agreed upon hourly rate).  I accepted the change and asked to pay by Credit Card (also previously agreed on), and was told that it would cost him too much for him to accept a Credit Card, but that I could use PayPal. I did pay him by PayPal. <br /> I have emailed him twice requesting an Invoice with his Letterhead for my records, but have not received this Invoice copy. <br /> I would not use Charlie Rick, LLC for the reasons stated in the last two paragraphs. <br />   <br /> <br />"

"The quality of work was very good and everything I expected. The project did take longer than I expected it to partly due to finding more problems with the house than were initially expected. The prices are on the higher end, but are fair when compared to the quality of work performed. The quoting and billing processes were clear and straight forward. If you are looking for a quality job then ECO is who you are looking for. I definitely have peace of mind that the project is done right. <br />"

"Veteran garage door tech. “Rodger” showed up at exactly the appointed time. Introduced himself and went right to work, discussing with me what he’d be doing to correct the damage (I caused to my garage door panels, tracks and cables of my cable door drums. I purchased and attempted to install a set of new springs myself.)….Note to homeowners….I’m a pretty experienced mechanical tech myself; performing most of my own home & minor auto repairs over many decades. My complete inexperience with garage door systems could have gotten me seriously injured as I did not realize the potential energy I was placing in winding up the EXTREMELY OVERRATED torsion bar springs I INCORRECTLY purchased on line!!) So after receiving that well-meaning, much-deserved “critique,” Rodger successfully straightened out and realigned most all my damage without having to replace a lot of my “bent-up” components. He placed the PROPER-sized torsion bar springs, a very worn sprocket of my chain drive motor and adjusted the chain, etc. Most impressed by the expertise and speed in which he was able to do all that work (without a helper) in less than an hour-1/2 at most. Great experience; sincere folks (was told their company is a start-up since our area’s Hurricane Katrina of 2005.) Recommending their service to anyone (including do-it-yourselfers as myself). Thank you, Access Garage Door Co. (and Rodger) for your great service."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Reserve, LA

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
