I'd originally considered engineered quartz but when three styles I chose turned out to be backordered I took a fresh look at the Corian offerings and chose a Private Collection style in Clamshell. The material is one and a half inches thick with the plywood backing so it replicates the solid look of stone countertops, even around the sink, where Heartwood also built it up. I have gotten so many compliments on it, especially from people who don't realize there are alternatives to granite. The initial cabinet install height was calculated off the listed height of my washer/dryer on the manufacturers website, and the cabinets were put in before the washer/dryer arrived. Once they were in place, I realized I needed the cabinets lowered -- John fixed the issue without a problem!"

"Excellent quality materials and installation. On schedule... The subcontractors were well-coordinated. They don't measure for the countertops until the cabinets are installed, so there is a delay there, but on my request they re-hooked up my gas stove so we could cook during the period we were waiting for the countertop (no kitchen sink or dishwasher for over a week, though). They mailed drawings to my house, and due to a mail glitch they didn't arrive before the work started, but they were able to get started and didn't lose any time.
