"Called precision out for a tune up, with no sightly defects decide to bring it up to 2026 stds as look as last work was 1999. Decided on upper “spring” hardware and up to date opener. Very good idea as I have “ lifetime” warranty to met my needs and no expensive surprises "

"Door works better now better than ever. Jose Perea was our service man. He was efficient, friendly and knew just what to do to correct the problem. Our door work beautifully now. Even when the door was new, it did not function as well as it does now. We are happy with the workmanship. Left the garage looking good."

"My home warranty provider dispatched this company to address an issue with my garage door opener, which was no longer functioning. Upon arrival, the technician merely took photos of my garage door and informed both me and the warranty company that they would not proceed with replacing the opener due to a few dents on the door unless I replaced the door. They recommended replacing the entire garage door at a cost of $2,000–$3,000. It’s important to note that these cosmetic dents have been present since 2017 and have never impacted the functionality of the opener. I also came across a review from another customer who had a similar experience, where an attempt was made to upsell additional services unrelated to the actual issue. Thankfully, my warranty provider agreed to get a second opinion. A different company was sent out and they replaced the garage door opener without issue or unnecessary upselling. Advice to Homeowners: If your warranty company sends this vendor and they recommend costly, unrelated repairs, be sure to request a second opinion."

"Pretty well overall. First team was on time and performed estimate. Several different teams had to visit site to complete the job. One team had only a motor but not springs. Another had springs but no motor. Neither had correct control button. Final team needed to adjust springs put in by first team, but eventually installation completed."

FAQs for garage door installation and replacement projects in Ridgecrest, CA

Yes, you can replace just one panel if your door is sectional and the damaged panel is available. Most modern residential garage doors have four to six horizontal panels that can be individually replaced. However, finding an exact match becomes challenging for older doors or discontinued styles. For doors over 15 to 20 years old or with multiple damaged panels, a complete door replacement might be more practical and visually consistent.

Minor dents or cosmetic damage can often be repaired without replacing the entire panel, potentially saving you money. However, if the damage affects the door's operation, security, or structural integrity, replacement is often a better investment.

For extensive damage to multiple panels or older doors where matching is difficult, full door replacement might be more economical in the long run than multiple individual panel replacements.

Your garage door panel might be repairable if the damage is superficial and doesn't affect functionality. Small dents in aluminum panels, minor scratches, or cosmetic issues often don't require full replacement. However, replacement is often necessary if the panel is warped, has large holes, shows extensive rust, or affects how the door operates. A professional garage door technician can evaluate the damage and recommend whether repair or replacement offers the best value and durability.
