"Hired Dan for many jobs over 8 years including sump pump replacements, pump battery backup systems, toilet and faucet replacement, and sprinkler system backflow valve testing. Excellent workmanship, cleans up when finished, and very easy to reach and schedule work. Very organized. Contacted me when annual checkouts were needed and when other hardware was nearing end of useful life to proactively avoid problems. Never had any issues working with him and highly recommended."

"It went very well. Their service is prompt, thorough, friendly, honest and very professional. I needed to replace one of my AC/Heating units today. I've dealt with 1 Hour at my previous home, replaced both units there several years ago. Already I have replaced one of my Heat & Air units at my new location last year and have just contracted to have the other unit replaced here next week. The service engineer didn't pressure me to buy a new one but the explained the condition of the unit. I already knew from last year's checkup that it would need replacing but wanted to get one more year before I to a new one. I wouldn't go anywhere else."

"Plumber came and did work, after 1.75 hours said he was finished. I used sink at lunchtime and water was pouring out pipes under the sink. We called the office and the owner came later that day and resolved the leaks. My husband crawled under the house to take photos for the buyers to show the work was completed BUT one of the drain pipes that had 2 broken straps was NOT re-strapped so we had to call again to have the job completed. The main drain was strapped but the previous drain was not addressed and visible from the opening of the crawl space. It took 3 visits to complete a job my husband could have easily have done but the buyer stated that work had to be completed by a licensed plumber. To the company's credit we were not charged for the 2 extra visits. <br />"

"Great customer service and work. Gave me a much better estimate for the project than I received from other companies. Kept me posted on planned start and finish dates and was very responsive to any questions or concerns that I had about the project."

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Ridgeville, SC

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
