"The repairs went well, in spite of bad news. First, we got a courtesy call at home half an hour before they arrived, (then they called my work number to say the same thing when nobody answered at our home number). When they arrived, the bad news was that dishwasher was toast, and the technician recommended we replace it for not much more than repairing it. He also showed us what went wrong (the filter had calcium deposits that blocked water flow and burned out the motor) then explained what to do to keep our next dishwasher working. He looked at the drier and showed us how to fix it ourselves by shortening a hose to avoid it kinking. We were charged for a regular diagnosis and a half-price second diagnosis.
This kind of service was not a fluke--the last time we called them, our oven was fixed correctly when two other repair companies fixed it and each time it broke again in less than a month. The other places stood by their work... one time each...then failed to return our calls. In contrast, our Mr. Appliance tech fixed the oven, then troubleshot to figure out why it kept breaking (it turned out to be an ungrounded outlet). During that same visit, with our second broken appliance, a fridge, he told us how to fix the icemaker ourselves for less than he could.
Diamonds may be rare, but that's nothing compared to the rarity of courteous repair people who are knowledgeable, honest, and genuinely decent people. I've worked with three Savannah companies, and neither could hold a candle to the folks we've worked with at Mr. Appliance.

"Regner responded to my quote request within 5 minutes and was available through call/text the whole time. He came out the next day right on time and returned later in the day, again right on time, since I had a work-schedule conflict the first time. Overall he was very kind and customer service oriented. My dishwasher wasnâ t draining so he took the entire thing apart and even checked other appliances to ensure it wasnâ t something else. Turns out my plumber with 20+ years experience missed a plug that Regner found and easily fixed in the garbage disposal that was blocking air and water flow. He saved me tons of money I wouldâ ve spent on all new appliances that other repairmen wanted to charge me to install. I even had to talk him into allowing me to give a tip since he only wanted the basic service fee. "They didn't end up doing the work. They were really high on what they wanted to do. Other people who looked at the porch said that it was not causing an issue with any water intrusion and that there doesn't seem to be any signs on the posts that this could have been recent, it could have been long ago. So no work was done. It was a front porch that had just the level concrete on one side was dipping just a little bit. I think they were going to pump it up from underneath or something like that to level it out. I would say that their response time and their professionalism of getting the quote to us on a timely manner was good. The quote was high and yet the work was not necessary according to other quotes. They should be honest to say when repairs are necessary and when they are not. The guy who showed up was nice and professional and was on time. There was a decent response time."
