"On Thursday, I called my usual provider, as I do every three years, to clean out my septic tank. They came, but they had no idea why the tank was empty except for tree roots. They did not seem to know how to proceed and were asking for a great deal of money to do the job. They could not answer the question of why there was no sewage backup in the house. I fired those guys. <br /> I went to Angie's List and called Stinky's. They came immediately, bringing with them plumbers from Michael J. Messick Plumbing and Heating in Lambertville. These intelligent and responsive plumbers discovered that there is another septic tank on the other side of my house, one that I had not known about, and therefore one that had not been pumped in the thirty years I have lived in the house. They dug it up, cleaned it out, and then pulled all the roots out of the first tank and cleaned it as well, even though they had to put on Hazmat suits and go down into the tank to cut away the roots. <br /> These workers kept me posted every step of the way, worked diligently for two days, advised me on how to keep the tank free of roots in future, cleaned up everything before leaving a very relieved customer. They apprised me of the approximate cost before beginning the job, and we agreed that it was fair. I intend to call them again in 2016 to pump out both my tanks! <br />"

"Excellent. We called in the morning. The repairman had other calls and couldn't come until afternoon, but he kept us apprised of his progress and estimated time of arrival. He expeditiously identified the problem, a well pump that had gone bad, and replaced the pump. He also inspected the rest of our water system, found a corroded pressure switch, and replaced it, which improved our water pressure. He also took the time to explain to me how our water system worked and what he was doing."

"<p>Found several high rated residential construction and roofing contractors through Angie's list. Called three different providers in the area to give estimates for replacement of our aged roof and possibly replace our skylight which was starting to leak. Matthew Miglin responded promptly by E-mail, phone and through messages on Angie's list. Matthew came out and surveyed our job and quickly provided a very detailed estimate which he E-mailed to us. After our review and some questions we decided to use Matthew and Chapelwood Home Services to replace our entire roof and the old leaking skylight. His estimate was much more in line with our budget than the other estimates we received for the work. This was great because our home was located just slightly out of Chapelwood's service area and so Matthew was going beyond his normal service area because we were Angie's list members. After signing our agreement and picking out the colors, Matthew fit us into his work schedule within a week. Wow. He estimated the work would take several days to complete. Matthew and his team showed up on time as scheduled and completely covered anything that could be damaged outside of the house during the removal of the old roof. The materials were what we wanted and the colors matched as expected. His crew was polite and they worked carefully. The finished job was great, everything was completed as expected, and they finished the entire job in one day ahead of schedule. Matthew was very careful and the clean up and removal of the debris was thorough. he even offered to replace a downspout that I damaged earlier this year with snow removal. We of course said that it was not their fault. They went around the entire property with a roller magnet to pick up all the nails that may have slipped through their cover material.
