"We had a great experience with the basement men. Steve was very communicative and the crews were wonderful. It was a big project with a lot of unexpected issues, and they still managed to finish a few weeks early and go only a smidge overbudget. A summary of work: -Repitch and pour new sidewalk to prevent water damage -Repair small crack in concrete foundation -Basement finishing (electrical, framing, insulation, drywall, 7 new windows, etc) -Partial rebuild of stairs -Creation of hybrid kitchenette/laundry room -(Unexpected) bathroom remodel -Vinyl plank flooring installation -Install two metal sliding doors -Paint ceiling We would definitely use them again. The one thing I would note is that I sourced most of the finishes (floor, tile, cabinets, countertop, etc), which I would recommend if you have the time. Some of the suggestions TBM provided ended up being pricier and, in my opinion, slightly more basic looking. But Steve was super helpful answering my questions so I could find what I wanted and had no problem installing what I purchased. I've included some pictures. Note that several were taken before the project was fully completed."

"Quickly. The crew of 7 arrived early and stayed late to get the project completed within two days. They dug a trench along the exterior walls of the basement, put drain tile in, covered it with 1/2" rock, then filled it with concrete. Along with this, they also installed a new sump pump which was included with the price. The concrete and dirt was taken out to a dumpster they brought and put in our driveway. Cleanup was fairly good, considering what they did. The only issue we had was when they were leaving, we asked if they would come back and put the work benches back in place after the concrete dried. When we got our estimate, the person we spoke with said they would put everything back. I specifically asked if they would put the work benches back (there are 5 work benches), and he said they'd put everything back as it was before. The head of the crew said they would come back the following week after another job and put them back, but when I called to schedule it, I was told it was not part of the agreement, that they didn't usually do that, and they could do it for an additional fee. This was very disappointing because we are seniors (89 and 71) and can't possibly move those work benches ourselves. Other than that, the workmanship and product used were very good and we would use them again."

"We had investigated several companies to perform this work.  Only Jon Hirsch, VP Krugel Cobbles, provided a quote to remove the materials that was highly detailed, competitive, and had a FIRM PRICE and time schedule.  Other quotes were open-ended (no firm price) or absurdly high.  Also, Krugel's has a lot of experience doing roof deck work on condo buildings in Chicago, and Jon explained why his approach was most cost-effective and minimized neighbor disruption.  We contacted Jon three months later to actually perform the work; his quote only changed to include disposal of material.  We also asked him to do this as quickly as possible; miraculously he was able to squeeze us in to accomplish all of this within one week of our request.  The work team was polite, professional, super-efficient and highly experienced at moving this type of material through the interior of our condo and the condo building common elements.  They were most careful not to touch any interior walls or damage floor surfaces. They moved material in small amounts to be well under any weight limits AND they inspected and cleaned after the job was finished.  Jon gave us a commitment to get the work done in two days, and he put extra people on it to make sure he met the deadline, while the price of the job remained the same as his quote! <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />We have had over 30 years experience with a variety of contractors and landscapers as we remodeled or built homes.  Very few contractors did work with such speed, quality and care, and even fewer honored their commitments as Krugel Cobbles did.  This company did MISSION IMPOSSIBLE!  We can't wait to work with them again. <br />"

"Richard and his crew were very professional, timely, and courteous.  His crew were great with our two big enthusiastic dogs (making sure they closed the gates, cleaned up the back yard so there wasn't any garbage they could get into.)  They worked on Saturdays as well.  We had some unforeseen issues with rotting boards behind the drywall in the basement and Richard made sure that they were handled quickly and repaired.  We felt that the work was well done and that he was honest the entire time with us.  We would use Yellow Square Cooperation again without hesitation. <br />"
