"This is the 3rd project that I hired A-Squared Woodworking for. The work is done to perfection. I emailed a sketch to Robert about the built-ins that I wanted: file drawers, small drawers, TV, printer and components area, storage for games etc... We went back and forth a few times, Robert measured my games and components to make sure all the dimensions would work perfectly. He made some really good suggestions, and the result is stunning. Despite my house being over 100 years old, with plaster walls and no straight floors/ceilings, everything looks perfect. The cabinets were built in the workshop and it took a full day to install. Robert will take all the time he needs to make sure that everything is installed perfectly. He also helped with running all the electronics cords behind the cabinet during the installation. This is the 3rd project that I ordered from A-Squared Woodworking and I am already thinking about the next one. This is a very reliable and quality-oriented company."

"First of all we did not have enough cabinets in our kitchen so we needed to totally change the configuration of the kitchen. Then after some careful research we end up with Cabinets City. Unlike others, they listened to what we wanted and provided cabinets that work beautifully. We have used the kitchen for several weeks now and I can't think of anything I would change. "If we could give six stars, we would. Our kitchen contractor works with several high end cabinet stores, but he told us that if we really wanted to get exactly what we wanted, we needed to go with a custom cabinet maker (which he said would cost about 10% more), and he recommended John Valentine of Roselle Custom Woodwork. From the beginning, John was a delight to work with. He offered suggestions based on his experience, but he listened carefully to what we wanted and never insisted that his approach was better unless he had good reason to do so. When he came to our place for a final review before committing to a definitive design, a design consultant with whom we have been working joined us and we had a wonderfully collaborative, highly productive brainstorming session. John got started almost as soon as we signed off on the project, was flexible with interim adjustments (which included a visit to his shop when the cabinets were mostly completed), and was done several weeks before our contractors were ready to begin the demolition. (The speed of completion was a bonus that we hadn't even appreciated at the beginning; we have friends who began a kitchen renovation after we did - unfortunately for them they didn't consult with us beforehand - and they won't have their cabinets until November!) John, his partner Steve and John's son came last week to install the cabinets, and they are exactly what we wanted, top quality materials, beautifully finished, built with pride."

"Stratagem Construction and Habitar Design are partner companies that work together. Mitch Newman is principal and owner. We started working with Mitch Newman and his team to completely redesign and remodel a new condo that we purchased. From design to construction, start to finish they did a really excellent job and followed through on every single little detail. They made sure everything was perfect and to our satisfaction. I highly, highly recommend them. We found Stratagem on Angie's List where they are one of the highest rates companies. We knew we wanted to hire a general contractor who would take care of all the different aspects of a complete remodel including project management and sub-contracting. Although hiring individual specialists like painters, flooring contractors, etc. could be cheaper, there is a very high value-add that Mitch and his team can bring to your project in that you will only need to work with one point of contact. They know how to prioritize different phases of work so unless you are a professional in this industry, I think I was definitely better served using Stratagem as our general contractor. It is really worth it. They do everything from soup to nuts including helping me with the ordering, delivery, and installation of electrical appliances in our kitchen remodel. They figure out the delivery of all the different materials, hardware, parts, fixtures, tiles, etc. They coordinate with every vendor and subcontractor and also with our building management to plan and schedule all the work; and they make it work with our personal schedules too. The nice thing about Stratagem and Habitar is that they have specialist designers that work with you on your vision first and develop a blue print using 3D rendering. That way, if you are unsure about anything, the designer can help you to sort out the specifications before any construction starts. A huge benefit of having a designer that is part of the same construction company is that the designers will work with the project manager and with Mitch to make sure that they can execute on your design. This will prevent the potentially problematic situation of a different company being unable to execute on your design and leave you hanging. Our designer was MacKenzie and she was a pleasure to work with. She stayed on top of our design work and would research several options and available pieces of hardware and materials to suit our project. What I really liked about my experience working with Mitch and Stratagem is that they will come to you with options and present a solution that works, and works for the long-run. They are committed to making sure that your project is completed to the highest of standards. Stratagem provides you with a dedicated project manager. Our project manager was Zane and he is one of the most dedicated and knowledgeable professionals I have ever worked with. In a nutshell, Zane will take care of everything and his attention to detail, commitment to quality and professionalism is impeccable. Our project was no easy task. The work was very comprehensive involving multiple phases and tasks. Here is a quick breakdown of all the things Stratagem did for us: -Complete gut and remodel if our kitchen including cabinets, counter tops, tiles, fixtures, appliances, back splash -Complete gut and remodel of both master and guest bathrooms including custom-built shower spaces and tiling -Complete installation of hardwood floors including stairs and nosing and custom-made transitions and thresholds -Complete painting of every wall, floor-to-ceiling in a unit with 15-ft ceilings -Installed glass-paneled doors with custom paint, and new door frames and jambs on all our doors -Put up a custom accent wall with reclaimed wood"

"Pearl Design Group provided cabinets for a recent renovation of my kitchen and bathrooms. Ryan provided me with possible choices of style, color, and quality of my cabinets. He offered suggestions on what I should be considering for my kitchen and bathrooms and offered a variety of options. Pearl Design Group delivered the cabinets on schedule and in excellent condition for installation by my contractor. I made a poor selection of one set of cabinets in the kitchen and Ryan was able to order a replacement, push the order through so that we only had a two-week delay in getting the replacement, and even got me a discount on the replacement. Ryan was very professional and knowledgeable in all my dealings with him. I highly recommend Pearl Design Group for any future purchase of quality cabinets."
