"Tyler and his crew have done multiple projects for our house, including a new roof, repairing drywall from a water leak, and replacing siding and soffit. They always treated us fairly, promptly and with respect. Tyler gave us a fair quote and was quick to finish all of the projects. He was awesome. Thanks Tyler."

"Superb. John dI'd an excellent job. The closet looks like it has always been there. He made soft close drawers for the built in. His carpentry is exceptional! John is personable, his prices are competitive, and he will keep in mind both your budget and time. I like him all the more bc he has never talked down to me (female)."

"Bruce was always on time, coordinating and communicating his schedule through phone calls, emails and text messages.  He spent a lot of time installing cabinet doors, veneer, trim, hardware and drawers for a professional looking job.  I had no problem allowing the Contractor into my home, even if I had to be away running errands.  YOUR DESIGNS LLC went overboard on this project, including lining all my cabinets and I would not hesitate recommending them on any kitchen/bath remake.  I also would not hesitate to show off my cabinets to other prospective customers. <br />"

"From start to finish I could not be happier.   I had an idea (a rough idea) of what I wanted to do.    Dan sat with me (listened with patience) and helped me work through the details of my project, he talked to me about what was important and what was not... after he helped me design the building and details that went along with it.    Along the way he worked with me to make adjustments to the design, as well as offered ideas and solutions to reduce my cost (he saved me about 15%).   There were things I didn't think about when I put my plans in place, Dan communicated with me along the way allowing me to think through the changes as well as the pros/cons of doing so.   There were changes we made along the way that make a lot of sense now that the building is complete.   Amazing work!!! <br /> To find a builder who can complete the work start to finish, stay true to his commitments, and more importantly listen to you is not easy to find.   Dan fits this mold. <br /> I have worked with at least 10 builders in the last 20 years...   this is the first review I have written.   The reason I am writing this review is Dan did an awesome job!    From start to finish communication was great, the work was awesome, and the price was right.    With 100% confidence I would recommend Dan and Patriot Builders to take on a small project to building a high end 6,000 sq foot home.   I am attaching my personal cell phone if you would like to personally talk to me - Frank (913) 461-7217  I will be more then happy to show you the work he did. <br /> Dan, thank you!   Its nice to work with folks who get stuff done! <br />"

"The studio apartment had been a mold haven for years, and we did not know why. When we started the work, we knew there would be structural issues because there was no other reason the mold would exist. James Simmons did wonderful demo work - keeping the space blocked off from the remainder of the studio apartment with heavy plastic draping, vacuuming up through out the work, and alerting us to anything important he found during the process. Our family picked out all the design elements and fixtures - the counter tops, cupboards, doors, sinks, faucets, shower, etc. If we had a question, James was always available for advice, particularly regarding which brands were better quality or installation issues that might favor one item over another and such. James installed everything by himself without any subcontracting. I was impressed by the work he did with the shower - he had to move the shower drain, which was in a concrete floor, and reposition it for the new neo-angle shower. He did a flawless job.   <br /> <br /> James installed all the new fixtures, electrical, ceramic tile, counters, cupboards, doors, etc. He also repaired the external wall through which the water had leaked and caused the damage. He did a beautiful job on everything. James would also schedule regular meetings with me to go over what had been done, what needed to be done, any time sensitive ordering or other issues, costs, etc. I appreciated being fully and routinely informed about the work. I have experienced other contractors who did not inform me and made me chase them down to get information. James actually enjoyed sharing the progress because he is proud of his work and loves what he does.   <br /> <br /> As when working with ALL contractors, I oversaw the project closely to make sure things were being installed as I desired. I am very picky and attuned to details; therefore, my standard behavior is to always communicate my desires in detail to the contractor so that there are no surprises that cannot be undone, and this is true when working with James. If I did not indicate my preference, James would default to his own ? unless there was an obvious choice to be made, in which case he would bring it to my attention and ask for my preference. James is easy going, so anything that I wanted, he would agree. If there was an extra cost involved in a change I wanted to make, he would let me know BUT he did not nickel and dime me! Also, if he could obtain a better price on an item than I could, he would purchase the item and I would then pay the cost. He always presented receipts for items as soon as he purchased them and didn?t surprise me later with anything.   <br /> <br /> We are extremely happy with James Simmons' work, and we are planning to have him do two more major kitchen and bath renovations on the upstairs as soon as we can - and if he does roofs, we'll ask him to look at some work that we need done there. James is insured and presented us with a signed statement from his insurance company. Perhaps more importantly, James is a man of his word as well as a skilled craftsman. I strongly recommend him."

"I have the most beautiful kitchen by Custom Creations. I designed the kitchen and we worked out together on how to design the cabinets. He is so good. My contractor estimated what he thought it should have cost and he came down right at the money so I imagine that it was what it was, it was fair. His punctuality was very good considering he lives in Traverse City and we live down here. He's honest, very kind and you can trust him in your home. He's also very friendly. I enjoyed having him in my home."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Riverdale, MI

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
