"When temperatures dropped to -50 with wind chill, the pipes to our basement bathroom sink froze. And as soon as everything began to thaw, (on Friday night) we found that we had a ruptured hot water pipe. Water was shooting out of the wall all over the bathroom. When it became clear that our usual plumber wasn't going to show up on Saturday, I frantically called half-a-dozen plumbers from Angie's List. Only Charlie got back to me and agreed to show up after his next job. On a day that he was clearly being overwhelmed with calls from all over the city, Charlie kept his word and showed up with his partner Dimitri. They quickly figured out there were no other leaks and repaired the pipe. On top of it, Charlie spotted two other unrelated plumbing issues in our HVAC room. They were minor now but could have turned into bigger problems down the road. His thoroughness and attention to detail allowed him to spot these hidden problems and save us headaches down the road. We had our water working in under an hour (on a Saturday evening!) and he charged a very fair price given the demands upon his time. He left our house at 5pm, his phone blowing up from other customers. I asked if he was going to have an end to the day soon, but he said he still had hours to go...he had promised other worried homeowners that he would help them today. "It went great! Patrick came out on a Saturday to see what was causing my line to back up. He used his camera to find mud in a section of my pipe indicating some type of crack or break. Gave me my options for fixing it. He started his repair two days later on Monday and finished up today, Wednesday. They dug roughly, a 4ft by 3ft hole to get down to the pipe and ended up digging two more feet towards the basement to ensure that they connected the new pipe to a solid piece of the existing pipe. Very competitive pricing, I called two other plumbers who were both higher priced by at least 2K and didn't offer as good of a warranty on their work. Very knowledgeable, able to help me understand how my whole sewer system works. Very professional, got the permit with the city, busted the work out, got the job inspected by the city and Closed up the hole. Patrick and his crew were also able to remove a piece of cable that someone previously broke and left in the pipe ( from that machine that rods your line). I highly recommend Patrick and his crew. The peace of mind is priceless! Thank you!"

"Great thanks Technicians TONY and TYLER! This service rang ALL the bells. They were very professional and pleasant. I Had them replace three shutoff valves under the sink which were frozen and had small leaks. I asked about cheaper fixes and they advised replacing the whole valves, which was actually what I preferred. They gave a price and it was exactly what I researched as being a good, reasonable price. They were quick and exact and tested all of the valves that they replaced (hot/cold/dishwasher). I have used them in the past and have also used other plumbing services. The other plumbing services that I have used were shoddy at best and not very professional. This service is just what the doctor ordered. I will definitely use this service again. They were right on time and easy to schedule. They use the best quality parts that will last for years. "Sam arrived on time and he was very professional. He answered all my questions and also made good recommendations. After finishing the tune up, I shared with him that I can smell gas in the laundry room or outside the house from time to time for the last year. He immediately checked the connections of the pipe for the dryer and found one wasn’t sealed and there was a gas leak. The previous owner had this house for 5 years and probably they experienced the same issue. Sam fixed the issue . I do not have any gas smell anymore and most of our coughing and difficulty breathing has ceased. I really appreciate the knowledge and the help from Four Season."

I retract a review I previously submitted for The Plumbing Doctor.  What could be considered a miscommunication was overcome in a short time.  John contacted me to make up for the mis-happenings by providing is service complimentary, and I was open to regain the trust that was lost.  We spoke over the phone and scheduled a time for him to come out to my apartment and finalize the few items I had on a punch list that I was needed for a bathroom makeover to be complete (reinstall toilet, shower trim and hook up sink faucet).  He was prompt, and very courteous and even came back a second time to see the work through to its completion.  The Plumbing Doctor is a service that I was grateful of being introduced to through Angie's List.

"Matt and I discussed the potential work over the phone, and he was able to give me an accurate estimate of cost, so I gave him the go-ahead to do the work.  He arrived on time with an assistant and got started right away.  In all, the work to strip and finish the tub took about 4 hours, as Matt told me to expect.  I believe drying time was 24 hours.
The results are terrific.  The tub looks good as new - shiny and bright  As an added bonus, the bottom of the tub is textured, meaning I no longer have to mess with a plastic bathmat. 
The tub is original to the home and, over time, the stopper in the drain disappeared.  I bought the home several years ago and have had to use a rubber stopper in order to fill the tub.  You know the know kind...a white rubber stopper complete with a chain.  Matt turned me onto a company who sell a cool fix for that problem.  I ordered a new drain, in the finish of my choice, that glued right on top of the existing drain (with a built in adhesive) including an integrated pop-up stopper and a strainer.  I bought a 2 piece set that included an overflow to match the drain and the total cost was around $50.  Thanks for that tip Matt!
