This was NOT the case with Mike Sandness and his amazing team! From the moment I called for a free estimate to the completion of the project, this experience was phenomenal! As soon as I called, they were able to schedule my free estimate right away. Mike showed up promptly on time. He was kind, knowledgeable and professional. He asked what I was looking for and even itemized the estimate since I was unsure of what work I could or wanted to complete on my own. The estimate was so reasonable in comparison to other estimates I had received. In some cases cheaper! Mike was available and answered all my questions even when I emailed him later in the evening. The team showed up for work on time and were professional and courteous. The work was completed on schedule and I am so impressed! "Custom Renovations did a great job on my deck cleaning and staining project. Company owner, Ricardo, contacted me quickly after my search on Home Advisor, and then visited my house on my schedule to inspect the deck, offer suggestions, explain how they do a deck project and write a proposal on the spot. The price was fair for a two-day (over three) job. Once we had a window of agreeable weather, the crew got right to the job, and worked as long as it took to finish while the weather cooperated.The cleaning and sanding work prior to staining was particularly impressive and made the deck look great. The crew was polite, maintained a clean work site, did a nice job of protecting adjacent plants, and left the area very clean. Highly recommend!"

"The only thing I was dissappointed in was that the deck has a rough finish, but I suspect that was due to the previous sealing that was done by someone who wasn't experienced (family friend).  This guy said they could buff it next time, so that's OK.
They were very responsive to a spot that appeared to not have taken the stain as well as the rest of the deck surface; they came back right away and resolved that."

"From the initial estimate and assessment through final touch ups and clean ups Ryan and his crew from FreshLook were on top of everything. Ryan worked well with our contractor to time when he could start painting our exterior (new LP SmartSide) and gave us additional ideas and input to ensure the color scheme and matching came out as best as possible. His painters were on time, detailed, worked quickly while doing an outstanding job. When we made a last minute change to make our porch roof a clear coat in order to see the wood grain vs painted white Ryan helped us clear up blemishes in the wood and had his team out a number of times to ensure everything looked right. "I've used Dennis in the past and he always does a good job. Our house is cedar and needed to be freshend up. Dennis and Tim came over at 9 am. They covered everything I wanted and started staining. They worked like troopers on ladders all day. They were amazing. If they dripped stain on anything they cleaned it up.
My wife and I took all the lights and accessories off and on the house. All I wanted them to do was soak as much stain into the siding as they could. They finished up at 5:30 pm with only a short break for lunch. They did an amazing job and I would highly recommend Nagel Painting.
