"We had a wonderful experience with Michael (and Brent, and Elmer - the dog) from start to finish! During our first meeting/walk-through of the house, Michael was exceptionally thorough; it was easy to see that integrity and communication are of utmost importance to Michael. He was able to give us a quote very quickly and meet our timeline. Michael also connected us to one of his long-time friends to help with some trim work (dry rot) that needed to be done before we could paint the exterior of the house. He worked with us on color selection and gave fantastic suggestions (and tips!) based on our "coastal" style - including painting the front door a color that would really pop! We selected coral for the front door, and painted the exterior of the home a lovely, beachy teal with off-white trim. We couldn't be happier and after all was said and done, LOVE our home! After a year of outdoor projects, this was by far the best money we could have spent; it made the biggest impact on our home and the neighbors love it. A quick side story to speak to Michael's personality - our son (5 years old) went outside and "accidently" touched the wet paint. He was very embarrassed and ran indoors. Michael made it a point to invite our son back outside where he then taught our little guy how to hold a paint roller. He even let him paint a small section of the home. Our son's face lit up! Michael then taught him a "secret" handshake and made our son an official member of the crew by placing a Dunn Edwards cap on his head. "It was a struggle in the beginning.  The company wanted to charge more when they showed up to do the work.  They said they wanted to charge for fence post holes, something they said was not included in the contract.  We wanted to know why not? This greatly changed the price of the job. The contract had already been signed by our neighbor and me and prepaid (we worked through Home Depot).  We had long discussions back and forth with the people on their end (regional manager, etc.)  We finally told them not to do the job and we will get more estimates.  After all this, they agreed to do the job at their original estimated price.  After this they did a great job. <br />"

"He gave us a detailed estimate as well as let us know he works alone, so the job would take a little longer than if he had a crew come in to paint.  After the job was finished, we were glad he took the time others don't (and we have experience with those who don't).  He is a perfectionist.  He spent the first two days washing and rinsing walls and woodwork, removing nails/screws, patching, etc.  He is a master at painting and understands that preparation is the key to a beautiful paint job.  He always let us know when he would arrive and when he would be leaving, and what he planned to do the following day.  He kept to schedule and finished when he predicted he would.  He left us with extra paint all correctly labeled so we could use it for touch ups if needed. We could not be happier, and we will never use another painter as long as Gino is in business.  His old school approach to getting everything prepared the right way before starting to paint was something we are not used to in this slap dash work world, and if you hire him to paint your home, you are guaranteed an A+ job at a very reasonable price."
