Coordinating with Julie Kuhlman and finalizing what we wanted for our yard was easy. Julie is quick to respond by email or phone, was always pleasant to talk with, and kept us up to date on when we could expect the work to begin. We added a couple of things to the original plan, and she let us know changes in cost immediately. Owner JD Kuhlman helped design our backyard area, transforming it from an eyesore into a space we can use and enjoy. Getting to our backyard for work purposes isn't easy and involves going up steps and through a narrow gate, which meant that no large equipment could get back there. The Kuhlman team did this job by hand and fast, in the rain, over the course of two days. The team was extremely nice and worked through the weather to get it done. They did a fantastic job. We are planning to hire them for some additional work in the coming weeks. We priced this job with another company prior to finding Kuhlman and got a much better price - and nicer people - through Julie and JD. Very happy we found them."

"I contacted Cutting Edge about cleaning my flagstone patio - it needed to be washed and have polymeric sand installed in the joints. The company that had previously done it for me was no longer doing residential work. Kevin was very honest with me: he said they'd be happy to do the work but that I could probably find someone to do it for less cost. He suggested I check around with other companies. But in the meantime, he immediately emailed me an estimate. I called several other landscaping companies but they all told me they did not do this type of maintenance work. So I contacted Kevin to arrange for the work. Despite all of the bad weather we'd had, they got the job done within about 2 weeks. My patio looks brand new! Overall, the company was very responsive to me, they did a fantastic job - and I appreciate their honesty about the cost. "Custom Stonescaping recently installed a flagstone patio in my backyard, and I highly recommend them. It was a pleasure to work with everyone at Custom Stonescaping - Jeff, the owner, was on site every day and Jaime in the office answered any questions I had. Maynor and his crew quickly and efficiently tackled the labor of removing the old deck, removing the old pavers, and dismantling the existing shed. Each day they were on site, they were careful to move the existing patio furniture and other items (including shrubs) outside the fenced-in yard while they worked and then returned them inside the yard at the end of the day so that my property was safe and secured. The magic, though, came watching them cut and place/install the flagstone. It is artistry. It was like watching a painter develop a masterpiece on a canvas. They placed each stone in such a way that it complemented the adjacent stone in size and color. The finished product, including cleaning up the landscaping, is absolutely beautiful. It's better than I ever imagined, and I'm enjoying my backyard more than I have in the past."

"Apex Masonry went above and beyond in responding to our needs and concerns. James Aguilera provided us a great amount of detail on how Apex would complete the project. He guided us through a painless process from estimate to job completion. The patio was carefully constructed with a durable gravel and sand foundation. The pavers were laid tight and level. The boarder has additional durability with a concrete foundation to prevent shifting. The front stoop looks better than ever! The steps have always been uneven with the first riser at about 3” and the second at about 9”. Peter, the project manager, skillfully demolished part of the first step and the forward edge of the second. The reconstruction resulted in two evenly sized steps. After repointing, the stoop looks incredibly revitalized and new. My wife and I are very pleased with Apex Masonry and highly recommend."
