I will say, though, that the company failed to call me when he was on his way... not a big deal. All in all a good experience."

Many times I have had to correct mistakes or argue with them about the quality of the work. The favorite saying is â that not the way we normally do itâ . So it was refreshing to work with Andy. He gave me what I believed to be a reasonable price for professional work. He even went the extra mile and helped me with getting rid of an old water softener. And cracked open the anode rod the first time for me at my request. If you have never tried to remove one, itâ s near impossible when the tank is installed if has not been cracked before. Maybe something he might add as a curtesy in the future."

"I have to give this 3 star rating based on price. 5 stars for customer service, promptness, courtesy and professionalism. The gentleman that provided me with the estimate was top notch. NO pressure, 100% honest and generally very respectful of my interaction. However, the price quoted is, without a doubt, not realistic. I searched online for furnace pricing and a very high quality and highly rated piece of equipment averaged around $2500. But my quote for a new furnace with installation was $7500! This is totally unacceptable! Furnace replacement is not rocket science. As a very handy guy, and one who has, first hand, witnessed an installation, $5000 in labor for a 4 to 5 hour job is just way more than this is worth. $1000 per hour is more than lawyers and doctors charge. And there is no flexibility on this pricing. And I don't feel that the months overhead of this company should be charged on each and every installation. Additionally, I received quotes from 3 other companies and their pricing is almost identical. Price fixing? Taking advantage of consumers? You make the call. BUYER BEWARE!"

"I'm the kind of person who favors independent professionals over large corporations. To this end, when North Bound Plumbing came up, I thought I would give them a try. Aurelio is the owner and a 17 year expert in plumbing, and is realistic about his quotes, and sets the right expectations for the work he does. We had a leaky shower valve and three valves that were leaking outside - the water main, and two garden hose spouts. The leaky shower valve cartridge style valve was so old - it was corroded inside the valve housing. Aurelio was able to remove it and replace it with a new valve. I tried for hours to get that thing out! The water main, he knew right away was not standard, it was a 1 inch main instead of a 3/4 inch. He knew it would be a bit more costly for parts. The prices he quoted matched the final pricing. He was really honest about everything along the way, and explained everything in a way my great grandmother would understand. I have done plumbing myself in the past and understand the lingo. I chose a professional plumber this time because I didn't want to break something and be stuck without water until a professional arrived. With my limited experience, I completely understood the challenges he had, and can say he was 100% honest. He loves new challenges and sticks with the task at hand until completed. He is able to foresee possible overruns and is completely up front about them BEFORE he starts.
